Question about IBM ThinkPad T20 2647 Notebook
Your CMOS battery is dead. This is what keeps your system's battery and other settings when you shut down. They are replaceable. I'm not sure where it's located on yours, but on my T20 it's a little yellow circle about the size of a US nickle under the bigger battery. I replaced mine for under $5 (including shipping) from eBay. Look around a bit and you'll find one.
