Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How do I stop spam

Your email account should have the option of sending unwanted emails to the junk mail folder. If you send unwanted mails there your account should automatically send messages from that particular sender to the junk mail folder. This is the case with microsoft accounts. Also, by right clicking on a message in your inbox you can find the option to create a rule for messages from a particular sender. This gives you additional control. You should investigate if you are fed up with unwanted mail.
A lot of people get mail from sites they have subscribed to but have not bothered to unsubscribe, this will save a lot of time sorting out out unwanted messages. another thing to do then.

Good Luck with it, it could save you a bit of time if you can get all sorted out.

How do I permanently remove Knctr from my Dell, Windows 8 computer.

try to use directions from this site:
http://knctr.com/uninstall/

more info on the subject here:
http://www.shouldiremoveit.com/Knctr-9763-program.aspx

run online virus scanner from either trendmicro:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com

or eset:
http://www.eset.com/us/download/utilities/

either of tehse programs is free to use and decent in operation.

i would suggest after removal install and run ccleaner, i am using free version, you can purchase better one:
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

after installation of ccleaner (do not install anything else, just ccleaner!):
1. run cleaner (disregard warning)
2. open "tools", check for unwanted programs and uninstall them
3. while in tools select "startup" - untick all entries except antivirus and malware software from startup
4. click on "registry"
5. remove tick from "unused file extensions"
6. click "scan for issues"
7. save on first go when prompted and then "fix all issues", repeat till "no issues were found"
8. close all programs
9. switch off the computer
10. wait about 20sec and restart the computer in safe mode (google it if you do not know how)
11. run again any of the selected online scanners (you need to run them from root folder as they do not show in safe mode)
12. run ccleaner as in 1, 4, 6, 7 - but do not save this time, repeat till clean
13. reboot the computer and do not install that sort of the software again...

for future references - never, ever install a program which is embedding itself into your browser and startup...

do not forget to vote...

My Acer computer is 18 months old and now its saying I need a disc to use it as the settings need updating

Hi lexie, if your PC has a license operating system and at the control panel the automatic update is enabled, every time you access the net it will download updates in your PC and automatically install it discreetly, you may find your PC slowing down because of the updates incurred worst it will eat up your hard drive space and it will become near full. I suggest that to free some disk space there is an option in you control panel add/remove programs to uninstall updates, the other is perform disk clean up to remove unnecessary old files from your hard drive. Cheers!

Hi! I just formatted my laptop and installed XP on it. After some days the machine hangs a lot. My ram before formatting ie Win 7 it was 4 GB but now it is 3 GB in XP I have toshiba brand and the model is...

The problem would be that the OS you have installed is 32Bit and cannot access Ram more than 3.26 GB , even if you have more Ram Windows XP 32 Bit just ignores it. You will need a 64 Bit OS to access more Ram.

An in depth explanation here.

Booting up n performance drops, what can i do to boost up system?

A common problem!
Try these tips if you are Win7 or Vista. Some will work in XP also.

Disabling GUI files to speed up the boot process.

1 Click Start and type MSCONFIG in the search box. Press enter.

2 When the system configuration loads, click Boot tab.

3 Locate the No GUI tab and check it.

4 Click OK to close the configuration tool.

5 A smaller window may pop up asking if you would like to re boot your computer now or later.

Close any open files and click Yes.

When your computer restarts, the System Configuration tool may load, notifying you of the change.

Click the box "Don't show this message again".

Reboot your computer and a second or so will be saved as the system no longer has to load unwanted pictures.

Windows 7 is similar to Vista as the programme files are loaded in parallel, unlike older versions that loaded in series. Thereby saving boot time.

Another save is to disable Windows Home Page Sound. That will stop the system from loading up to 600k of unwanted noise.

1 In control panel select Sound. Click on Sounds tab.

2 Uncheck "Play Windows Startup Sound"

Disabling unwanted hardware devices will save processing power allowing more power for other more important tasks like math processing of formulae, (Games!).

1 Click the Start Menu, type Devmgmt.msc and press enter.

2 When Devmgmt.msc has loaded browse through your devices.

3 Devices that you don't often or ever use can be disabled by Right Clicking the device name and selecting Dissable.

4 To re enable the Device, repeat the last line and select Enable.

This can save an awful lot of processing and therefore time loading programmes that you want, not rubbish that is not required.

Disabling unwanted Fonts.

Windows loads over 130 diferent fontsw when it starts up. Only a handful are used. On a regular basis.

Go to the font directory, copy it to a USB stick or CD in case you require any that you remove by mistake and place them back where you got them from. Adobe uses some odd fonts sometimes!

I recommend keeping:

Segoe, Calibri Common, Veranda, Arial, Trebuchet, Tahoma, Times New Roma and Ms Sans Serif. Be sure to keep the variants of those fonts.

I have a Lexmark E232 laser printer. I have just had a faint unwanted mark on my print-out which repeats itself on each page printed. I found a horizontal streak across the green photoconducter. Can this...

All laserjet printers and laserject function on the same basic principles and unwanted marks, streaks, line etc, which are repeated in a pattern are mostly due to the deterioration of the cartridge parts(photoconductor and PCR roller mainly). The problem can be fixed by correctly identifying the faulty part and replacing it. This saves the cost of buying a new toner. However, sometimes cleaning the visible inside of the printer and cartridge roller greatly helps, which can be easily done using dry lint-free cloth and gently cleaning the photoconductor etc. Good Luck!

Hope it Helps!
