Problem with Turbocad vertex snap

I can't get vertex snap to work with polyline. I started the line with grid snap then length and angle, but when I tried to snap on the end of it a warning message told me that a snap tool was on but nothing to snap to.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Evaluation expired - not true!

Check the Preferences folder in the System folder to see if there is a TurboCad related file there that might contain an old date.  Delete it and see if TurboCad will start.  If it does it will probably create another file in the Preferences folder that has a new start date for the evaluation period.

What is the fix for a rear defroster that doesn't work?

when you push on the rear defroster button does it light up if so then you will have to use a test light and check for broken window grid wires on the rear window. you ground one end of the test light and using the other end start at one side of the window that lights it up then follow the grid line from one side to the other at 2 inch increments, the light should light up but get dimmer as you test the length of the grid, then go to the next grid line and repeat. when the light stops lighting this is were there is a break in the grid is and needs to be repaired. you can get window grid repair kits for this.

How are you supposed to know if two shapes are similar if there aren't on a grid.

Use a ruler to measure the lengths of the sides and a protractor to measure the angles. The scale factor is the lengths of one divided by the lengths of the other.

How to put a repeating decimal on a graph

You cannot. There is technique that can be used to locate a fraction on a line segment. It involves the drawing of parallel lines passing through equidistant points drawn on an intersecting line. The procedure is based on Thales' theorem.
Draw a real line (passing through 0 of course) Mark the limits of segment [0,1]
From the point 0 draw a line. Choose an arbitrary length measured by the opening of a compass. Starting from O, mark three equal segments along the second line. From the end of the 3rd segment draw a line that joins that end with the end of the point 1 on the real line.
From each of the two other points on the secant draw segments parallel to the one you just drew.
Here is how it looks on a picture.
If you have another fraction (5/7) draw 7 equal length segments on the second line (secant to the real axis). The parallel line from the 5th point will cut the real axis at the point 5/7

How i adjust horizontal size and vertical size

To answer your concern, all you have to do is to change the setting of your aspect ratio on your TV.

Here is my suggested way to procede:

1. Apply 1080i signal, which should produce an oversized HD image on ColorStream1or 2.
2. Select an HD channel that is broadcasting standard 4:3 image, not wide screen.
3. Switch to the Service Mode ( Please refer to the above links). In the Service mode, press channel up/down to find the Adjustment parameters needed for the following steps.

4. Adjust HIT with volume up/down control for the image height to 22.5 inches.

6. Adjust WID for image width of 30 inches, (22.5*4/3)
7. Adjust HPOS to center the image.
8. Adjust PARA and TRAP to minimize geometric distortion.
9. Switch into Convergence mode and Adjust VLIN to get equally spaced horizontal grid lines.
10. Measure the length of the central grid lines and note the number of horizontal and vertical grid lines. This information is used to create an overlay grid.
11. Create the overlay grid on 40x25 x0.003 inch clear Acetate sheet, which you can get at the Art Supply store for under $2. Draw the grid with a fine line erasable pen. Draw vertical and horizontal lines through the center of the sheet so that the lengths are the same as the central grid lines. Now draw the grid so that it has the same number of lines as the convergence grid but are equally spaced, with the outer ones at the ends of the central lines.
12. Cut off about 1/4 inch from the right side of the sheet so that the sheet can lay flat against the screen, which is slightly less than 40 inches.
13. Put a reference mark on the TV frame 2.5 inches down from the upper left side of the screen.
14. Place the overlay on the screen so that the upper edge lines up with the reference mark. The overlay sticks by electrostatic attraction.
15. Use convergence controls to remove grid distortion and converge grid colors. Refer to the Anamorphic link for details.
16. Enjoy 1080i.

Other Comments:
I didn't realize I could create the overlay grid before placing the Acetate sheet on the TV screen, until I finished drawing the grid with the sheet placed on the screen. I added grid lines as called for in the procedure. I'm sure this method took much longer no only to draw the lines but some of them were difficult to see.

Part way through the convergence procedure, I became concerned that the image width was off since I did my screen adjustment with wide screen image. Thus, I decided to repeat that step with a 4:3 screen.

I confirmed the need to press 7 often to save results since after I adjusted one grid color without it, I accidentally hit a key that switched me out of convergence mode and when I switched back, all settings were gone.

Another mistake I made was not realizing that the cursor color determines which grid gets moved.

How to build a wooden pyramid frame for school children, 2metres on each length of base.

cut 4 pieces of 2x2 to1.5 inches short of 2 metres. lay them out end to end to form a two metre box. it can only work one way. then take string from corner to corner to find the center, making a crosshair. then stand a level rod at the centre to the desired height and fasten equal length lines from each corner to the peak. using a compound mitre saw, place an angle finder at the bottom and top corners to give you the angle to cut your piece with the saw set at 45 degrees, to give you your compound miter for the top. just set the saw blade to line up with the angle finder to get the bottom cut. the length of your "tight" string line frome corner to peak is your length of "hip" piece

What is a linear pair and vetical angle.

A linear pair of angles is formed when two lines intersect. Two angles are said to be linear if they are adjacent angles formed by two intersecting lines. The measure of a straight angle is 180 degrees, so a linear pair of angles must add up to 180 degrees.

A pair of angles is said to be vertical if the angles share the same vertex and are bounded by the same pair of lines but are opposite to each other. Such angles are congruent and thus have equal measure

I got a legend platinum poll cleaner this week and it dosent come up to the shallow end.my slope isnt very steep and the cleaner seems to have plenty of power because it climbs the walls fine.ive tried...

The first thing I would check is the swivels in the hose line. Make sure all of them spin, it not then replace that swivel. You may also want to check the length of the hose, if it was not adjusted to the proper length, this could be the issue also.

Another place to check is other reurn lines. If your pool has more than one return line, check to see if that line is shooting water across the top of the pool, if so, you may want to adjust the flow downward at on angle. The returning water may be stopping the hose and the unit from going to the shallow end.

Determining the equation of the parabola

V (2,0) and Focus (2,2)
since the focus is 2 units above the vertex, the parabola opens upward

vertex (h,k)
a is the focal length (distance between the vertex and the focus)
a = 2
(2 units above the vertex)

(x-h)^2 = 4a (y-k)
(x-2)^2 = 4(2) (y-0)
x^2 - 4x + 4 = 8 (y)
x^2 - 4x + 4 = 8y
x^2 - 4x - 8y + 4 = 0

**Answer: "(x-2)^2 = 8 (y)" or in expanded form "x^2 - 4x - 8y +4"
