I have a 22' Gateway FPD2275W LCD monitor, this is the problem
Everytime i press the menu button, a blue box pop up
on my screen that says "MENU LOCKED". i have no idea how my monitor
locked up on me. the buttons are touch interface(no physical buttons).
i have the owners manual and i didnt see anything about the menu being
lokced or unlocked NO WHERE in there, i spend hours reading that thing
multiple times and i still havent found anything.

Trying to find replacement parts for your model could be a task. LCDs are so inexpensive these days it would be cheaper to just replace it. Not sure if you have a Frys computer store nearby but I saw a 22" LCD for 129.00. Check your local electronics stores also. If you did find the part for your Gateway consider the cost and installation fees.
To make sure that the monitors power is correctly connected, check the power button on the front of the monitor it should be glowing purple. If the purple button is not visible check the power connection.
Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages. Good Luck!
