Couple of things, what type of cpu are you using? you might have one that requires the small 4 pin plug connected to the board as well as the main long plug, or it maybe you have that connected and the cpu is the type not to have it connected, also try working your way backwards try unplugging one thing at a time, like hard drive cable, then cd rom cable that sort of thing till it eventually post boots, also check to see if the jumper for the bios is in the correct possition, some boards come default clear bios, check the memory is in correctly inserted in its slots, also make sure your using the correct type of memory, are they the same size ie 2 x 1 gigs etc, make sure power supply is upto the job, nothing less than 350watt is needed on modern motherboreds..well hope that helps a little bit, good luck

First off disconnect any devices connected to the board, hard drives, dvd-roms, leave the the memory, processor and power lead connected to the board, try to boot it up.
If the fans run then the power switch is wired up properly, next check the graphics, ensure it is in the socket properly and all power connections are connected up.
If it still dosent boot and you have the manual for the motherboard look for the bios jumber, there are 2 settings normal mode which lets the computer boot, and the other that dosent allow boot, this jumper is normally J12, but have a look in the manual for the motherboard to make sure, if you try all of this and the system still will not boot please post back

Mobo power

Hi,
There are jumpers on the motherboard,
check all jumpers are set correctly, as from the user manual, this could be a problem.

check all your front lights are wired properly
power button, reset switch, must be correct too.
double/treble check them before building it.

My Pc wont boot no signal in my monitor Help!

May be your in second HDD, you didn't set the jumper up. There are some more settings you will have to configure in the BIOS menu. in the BIOS, you should set the primary HDD as the master and the second(newer HDD) as the secondary. Then it should boot without any problem but if the problem persists I don't know what to do next.

NI8 SATA DVD Drive compatability

You must have added the SATA drive after setting up the IDE. If both drives are using the same os this will not function. Ony one drive can have the os on it. All SATA's are seen as a master.
To correct this problem, disconnect the IDE drive. Hook up the SATA drive. Again if the SATA has the os on it everything will run. Change the jumper on the IDE and set it as a slave. Hook the IDE up. Enter the bios & do not list the IDE in the boot to section. Problem solved. While in windows, format the IDE drive.
You do not want windows thinking you want a dual boot system.
So you understand, in the bios -boot settings this is how things should be listed.
Boot device 1 Sony Optiarc DVD drive
Boot device 2 WD raptor SATA, In-stall your os to this drive

NO POWER TO MOTHERBOARD

Doublecheck your powerswitch connection on the MoBo header. Also ensure that everything else on the header is seated correctly and tightly.

The case button may also be at fault.

You will then need to start methodical testing.

Sart with the PSU connected to a known good system. if that works you eliminate the PSU (You did turn tis on on the back didn't you! ;-)

If that Doesn't work try a known good PSU on this system.. If that works you for sure know it's the PSU that's dud.

If you have a spare Mobo try swapping the parts into that.

If it's a brand new board then it may be DOA, it does happen, but unlikely. Anthing else after the board actually gets power will mostlikely produce a beep code if nothing else.. Silence and not running is most likely one of the above.

If my solution was helpful please vote for me!
