Power light blinks 14 times

You have a power malfunction. Recheck your power connections. If the TV still persists in behaving in this manner don't try to turn it back on, but do find out if the TV is worth repairing. Most now are made so cheaply that nobody will try to repair them. I've always bought used televisions, even when they had vacuum tubes. I bought my LED at a major store's resale outlet and saved a bundle. (Quite frankly, TVs and other electronics today are so complicated and untized and made so cheaply- and sold so dearly- that if one goes bad you don't even bring it in except for them to verify it. Then they give you a new one. They're simply not worth repairing to the companies. and its an opportunity for them to sell you a better one at a discount. Of course, if you are under warranty, you might be all set. PS: those extended warranty contracts are not worth the paper they are printed on and no smart consumer ever buys one. they're for suckers) Good luck.

What's your problem? the wii wont turn on

    • 1 Disconnect any accessories, such as GameCube controllers or SD cards.
    • 2 Unplug your Nintendo Wii AC adapter from the wall outlet and from the back of your Nintendo Wii. Leave the adapter disconnected for two minutes. Reconnect the adapter to the console and plug the outlet end straight into a wall outlet, not a surge protector.
    • 3 Remove the AC adapter from the wall outlet again. If the Wii has yet to turn on, the problem may lie within your electrical outlet. Plug a lamp, nightlight or something electrical into the outlet the AC adapter was connected to. If the outlet appears to work, then you'll have to test the AC adapter itself.
    • 4 Run your fingers along the AC adapter cable and visually look for any damage, such as frayed wires or a cracked piece of cable. Also look for the model number "RVL-002" and "Wii" on the adapter. If you don't see the "RVL-002" model number and "Wii" on the adapter, then you are using an unlicensed adapter, which can cause instability and power failure. If the adapter has incurred any damage, you will likely have to buy a new adapter.
    • 5 Spray air to clean out the vents on the back of the Nintendo Wii. If your Wii has been sitting for a long time, then dust and dirt may have built up around the vents, preventing the console from cooling itself. If the console cannot cool itself, it overheats and shuts down.
    • 6 Click "Start," "Internet Explorer" and visit the Nintendo repair page (see Resources) to open a repair claim. If you tried the above steps and your Wii has yet to power on, your system probably needs professional repair.

Shock from new stove when setting wet pan on burner. Stove not yet turned on. I was barefoot. 3 prong plug to 3 slot receptacle. Double pole 50 amp circuit breaker

Sounds like maybe the wall outlet has a bad ground pin in the connector. Can you plug the range into another outlet for a temporary test? If that solves it you can have the wall outlet replaced with a new one.

Hope this helps

Keeps rebooting

Hi, Please check if it is connected to a wall outlet or to a surge protector...If it is connected to a surge protector then connect it to a wall outlet.....
- If it is working then fine....If not then remove all the cartridges...disconnect the power chord from back of the printer and then from wall outlet......wait for 40 seconds then connect the power chord to wall outlet first and then to the back of the printer....
- If working fine then ok or else check adapter is warming or not......and check with different wall outlet and with different power supply....
- Now do the following re-sets :
A) Disconnect the power chord from the back of the printer
B) Press and hold # and 6
C) While holding these keys connect the power chord to the back of the printer and when you see that printer is warming up then release the keys.....
Or else replace the printer.

And also some of the electrical components used to build the logic board in the Cxxxx all in one printers about 2-3 years ago is failing. In my C6180 (with the same problem), there were 4 capacitors (see green cylinder shaped component in the attached - the bulge in the top indicates failure, and that this is the likely the cause) that I replaced (cost was about 60 cents!). If you are not comfortable doing some soldering yourself, you will have to find some help - it took me about 25 min to do the repair myself. Printer works great now.

Hope it helps..

Thanks for using fixya....

I have a new e627 used only once before today. Battery connection was partially out and screen indicated low battery. After five minutes screen went black and now I cannot power up.

Maybe your battery is totally drained.

Try to connect the AC adaptor of your laptop and plug it to the wall outlet and let it charge for 3 hours or more. When you plug it on the wall socket, it won't show the laptop's led blinking since it was totally drained. But after 3 minutes or more, it will start to show the blinking led to indicate charging. When blinking stops led light disappears, it is fully charged and ready to use.

Remember: Do not use your laptop while it is plugged in to save your battery life. When at home, remove the battery while it is fully charged and plug the AC adaptor directly to the wall outlet. It will still work without the battery as long as it is plugged directly to the wall socket.

The display on my phone has disappeared after I touched the phone and got a spark and a mild shock. Cannot readanything nor do I get the name on caller ID.

Something caused a short, which fried your phone. Check your wall outlet to see if it is a 3 prong outlet and properly grounded. You will get a nice shock if the outlet is not properly grounded. Also, make sure your electronics are plugged into a surge protector so your expensive electronic items don't get fried when there are spikes and drops in the electricity flow. APC is a good brand and those squid looking surge protectors are also a good bet.

Power will not stay on

HI, make sure there isn't a short in the actual outlet wall socket. if the outlet wall socket is in good condition, this will confirm power board failuer.

You will need to replace the power supply board in this unit in this case.

Does my 3 wire dyer cord supose to go all the way in the outlet plug?

Yes. Failure to ensure the plug is flush inside the outlet, leaves 220-240VAC exposed on the terminals. This presents a potential shock hazard and/or fire hazard if anything was to fall behind the dryer and end up lodged on one of the terminals. Some of the plugs will fit very tightly inside the wall outlet. However, if the plug does not insert properly, you may require an electrician to install a new outlet for you. If you are not familiar with electricity, I would not recommend attempting to repair an outlet on your own. As I stated before, the voltage potential is 220-240VAC with a current rating of about 25 to 35 amps. I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you still require assistance.
