I seem to have lost the backlight for the LCD display for my Bose Lifestyle 50. When I wrote Bose support, they suggested I hold down the On/Off button til I saw CA: and after that drr. Holding down the On/Off accomplishes nothing. Nothing happens. Anyone have another idea?
Hello, I have the same problem that occurred recently and took it apart to check it out. I looks like there is still power running to the backlight, but the backlight sheet has some bad cells at the contact end and only lights up a line about an inch long. Is there a way to pass this section and have the whole indiglo sheet light up again? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Reconnect the Bose link connection at the Multi room interface and at the Acoustimass Module. If this doesn't help, change the remote control batteries. If the it still display "no response",it means either the interface or remote is bad
FOR THE BOSE LIFESTYLE 50 SYSTEM (Model P1 - Personal Music Center remote) You can re-calibrate the remote first by following the steps below: 1. press and hold down on the display screen in the top middle area of the remote 2. After a few seconds the word CAL will appear in the middle and the word SOURCE will appear in the top left area of the remote. 3. Press the SOURCE button. 4. The word KEYPAD will appear in the top right area of the remote 5. Press the KEYPAD button and a small circle will appear in the bottom right of the remote. 6. Press the Circle This should've recalibrated the remote. If you need to relink the remote to the system, HOLD down the mute button while having the remote as close as possible to the unit. You will hear a beep . Release the button, after a pause , you will hear the remote beep twice. This re-links the remote to your system If the backlight is not working, your options are 1. Spend $349 and get a new one from Bose Or 2.Spend $220 and get a used one on E-bayOR 3. Use your remote with the lights on so that you can see the display :-)...the cheapest way OR Invest in an LED Book light that you can clamp on the remote and use that for your light ($9.99)
I had the same problem as this, but have lost my remote, so the system is know useles. Any way back to the point if you wiggle the cable around that goes in the speaker zone port then turn it off and back on then it should work :-D.
