Question about Bose 023795 LCD Touchscreen Remote Control
I seem to have lost the backlight for the LCD display for my Bose Lifestyle 50. When I wrote Bose support, they suggested I hold down the On/Off button til I saw CA: and after that drr. Holding down the On/Off accomplishes nothing. Nothing happens. Anyone have another idea?
Bose support repaired two P1 remotes for me. The first one they did for free (well out of the warranty period). The second one in the last 18 months cost $50 for a complete rebuild, new case, etc.

It is likely the backlight has failed which is quite common on these units. I had mine repaired with a new backlight.

I have the same problem that occurred recently and took it apart to check it out. I looks like there is still power running to the backlight, but the backlight sheet has some bad cells at the contact end and only lights up a line about an inch long. Is there a way to pass this section and have the whole indiglo sheet light up again?
Any help is appreciated.
