Question about Amana ARDS802SS Electric Kitchen Range

1 Answer

Double burner not working. The left front burner only works on the "bigger" option and is taking a long time to heat up. The smaller burner isn't working at all. The rest of the burners appear to be fine. Thanks!

Hi

usually the only time the burners will not get hot is because you have lost one line of the power to your stove...if you have fuses one fuse is bad or plug-in is bad or cord has one line burnt off where it connects to back of stove...if you have breaker one line or side of breaker might not be working or any of the problems above might be wrong, will your oven heat up...if yes then the power wire to burners is bad...if no then bad fuse or breaker or bad cord or bad plug-in....

Do you have 240V to the oven? If there is voltage, Unplug the oven and remove the rear panel to see if a wire has burned off from one of the switches or not . It would be either the red or black (L1-L2)

Frigidaire Gallery Range (New). When plugged in, get a PF20 (power failure). Clock works fine. Both ovens work fine. Stovetop does not work. No heat in burners. No display over burner.

Hi,

When it doesn't heat up,
We have a Frigidaire Range model PLEF398CCC and, as many others here have mentioned, we saw the puff of smoke and the oven nor the front left burner works. The repairman has to replace a EOC on the back of the control panel and another one in the back on the bottom. The total cost for parts alone is $438 then add in the service call cost. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME we've had an EOC go bad for big bucks. The unit is about 5 years old. We're thinking of filling the landfill with it.

Use this for troublshooting:

another testimony to help,

Had the same problem. This solved it for me:

Take care.

Oven pilot light is on, but burners will not light. pilot light burns larger when trying to turn burner on. Do I need a new thermostat?

The thermostat is doing it's job if the pilot gets bigger. When you turn on the thermo, it does 2 things: Makes the pilot bigger and supplies gas to the oven safety valve in the oven. The bigger pilot heats up the bulb from the valve and the stuff inside expands and turns on the main gas. The oven cycles when temo is reached by making the pilot smaller. The most common problem is that the pilot doesn't get big enough to satisfy the valve. Take out the pilot burner ***'y. (7/16" wrench for the nut). Replace the pilot burner. The part is probably a 5414S030 if the valve bulb is located parallel to the ***'y.

Burner is on high all the time

Is this an older unit - 5 years or more in use? Sounds like the burner element is shot. Check the Amana web site for a replacement.

Kenmore glass top range left front large burner out

check the burner socket, it is likely that contact is being lost where the burner connects to the hardwired portion of the system (the socket). It is not unusual for the socket to "burn up" when there is a poor connection to the burner resulting in the burner being replaced and the new burner not working or working intermittently.

Specs for burners for Amana AGS761W

that maybe that it's on the propane settings fron the factory on the regulator, and it's running on natural gas.Or if you see that the burners go smaller and smaller as you turn one burner after the other. if that replace the regulator. you can also get bigger flames when you make the orifises bigger. that's what supplies gas to the burners.

Burner on range will not turn off

Look at the back of your range there should be schemetic for your power control board. look for defective burner wire going into relay. There should be 5 relays in rows. Realy is the problem. I had the same problem with my front left burner stuck on high.
After replacing everything works okay.
