Replacing cartdiges in sx 200 epaon

Press the ink button on the control panel repeatedly. This will work if at least one cartridge is completely out. With the scanner unit open, then the first press of the ink button will move the cartridge carrier to line up the empty cartridge with an "empty cartridge" mark on the printer. Each subsequent press will cause the next empty cartridge to line up with the mark. Once all of the empty cartridges have been indicated, the next press of the ink button will bring the cartridges into the replacement position.

If you want to change a cartridge when none are empty, you need to enter the Epson Toolbox (with the printer in a Ready state - scanner unit closed, etc). Then use the software to set the printer to change the ink cartridges. When prompted by the software, open the scanner unit and follow the directions for changing the ink cartridges.

If the cartridge carrier isn't moving when you press the ink button, look for anything blocking the path of the carrier. Even small pieces of paper could stop the mechanism. Use a flashlight to check the corners. (You may want to unplug the printer and try moving the cartridge carrier by hand to check below it.) Some models have the cartridge carrier run on a plastic strip that can come out of the guide on the back. Move the strip back and up and down until it is repositioned.

I hope this helps.

My ink cartridges are stuck far over to left left and i can't move them

Power on the printer and lift the cover used to access the cartidges, the printer should then detect the door open and move the cartridges to a place you can access them. DO NOT FORCE THE CARTIDGES, you will wreck the motor...

Comment if you need more assistance.

Load ink cartridges

Lift top lid, then scanner plate. Cartidges should automatically move to position. Gently push down on front of old cartridge to release it. Peel plastic tab frm back of new one(s). Put new cartridge in with front at downard angle. Lift front until new one snaps into place. Close lids.
Hope this helps

PRINTER SHUT DOWN INK CARTRIDGE WILL NOW MOVE SO I CAN REPLACE IT I HAVE ALREADY UNPLUGGED THE POWER FROM THE PRINTER AND REPLUGGED IT IN

> cartidge will now move

If you mean will NOT move ...

Turn the printer on.
Open the cover over the ink-cartridges.
The carrier should slide to a position where the cartridges can be removed.

If it does not slide, then the belt that pulls the carrier is broken, or it's no longer connected to the carrier.

If all else fails, replace the printer -- try to find one that uses your existing ink-cartridges.

Renewing ink cartidge

Turn the printer on. Lift up the cover on your printer. You will here the cartridges moving, then they will stop, in your case, i guess in the center, but if not, just look and you will surely see them (they may be either in the center or on the left or right end of the printer). Then just put your hand on the cartridge and gently pull down. You will not break anything, promise :)

Epson SX200 Can't get the ink carrage to addopt change position

i had the same problem as this.

the manuel told me to put the ink in the printer before i had installed it, this however seems impossible.

instal your printer first. when it is instaled go to printer settings, then click on maintenance, then click on the option that says ink cartridge replacement. Follow the instructions and this will bring the cartridge to the change position!!

failing this you can unplug your printer quickly after you turn it on when the cartridges move, then you can manualy move into position. Not sure how good for your printer this is, but it works.
