I bought a house with no remotes for the garage opener. It is Sears brand and I bought Clicker model KLIK1U. Started programming with garage door closed, and the opener has green smart learn button. Cleared all old codes from the opener. In step 5, I am supposed to press the button 4 times, making sure LED stops flashing after each press. That doesn't happen like it is supposed. LED light continues to flash. What is wrong and why is this happening?? Thank you, Ray.

If one works OK, and the other has poor range, then it is either a battery problem (try swapping batteries with the good one) or it is faulty and needs to be returned to where you purchased it.
The klik1u does not operate at a 303mhz frequency therefore it will NOT program to the quantum 3212 but the actual remote from Wayne Dalton is only 2 dollars more than wal mart charged me for the klik1u when I bought it to try
I have a feeling your neighbor operated their door opener when you were programming your new clicker. Try erasing the memory of your opener and then program the clicker again making sure your neighbors do not operate theirs at the same time. To erase the memory hold the smart/learn button in for 10 seconds.
THE UNIT CAN WORK WITH EITHER ROLLING CODE OR NON ROLLING CODE, NOT BOTH.
I WOULD GUESS THE CLICKER IS NOT ROLLING CODE.
I HAVE NEVER HAD GOOD LUCK WITH THE CLICKER REMOTES - GO AND GET ANOTHER REAL REMOTE - THE SAME SERIES AS THE ORIGIONAL.
GET A REFUND ON THE CLICKER - OR HAVE IT BRONZED FOR THE MANTEL.
The Clicker is a hard one to program. You might try it a couple more times to be sure it won't work. The 61LM is the Liftmaster remote that goes with that unit. There is a possiblity that the reciever on the board is bad. That board is no longer available but you can get a 635LM external reciever that is backward compatable with the 61LM remote.
My best advise to you is get the brand name remote for your opener. I know it sounds like a pain but click brands are not super great because there supposed to work for many different kinda. For the most part you can call your local garage door dealer and pick one up for your opener. They may sell you a lift master brand opener which is find sears/liftmaster/chamberlain are all the same. Should only be about 35 bucks if you pick it up
