Question about Motorola Computers & Internet

It's the 2nd time in 6 weeks that we have to take it to sprint. the first time it froze before it completely loaded & had to be reset and we lost all contact info. It appeared to be due to internet history not being deleted regularly. Have been keeping up with that, but it froze again this morning. It gets to the start screen, but the windows load screen is the background and it's frozen there - can't access contacts, dial or anything. Have an appt with Sprint and anticipate another re-set. Are there any known issues with the Q that would result in this freezing problem. Phone is about 1.5 years old. We are 2nd owners.

    The virus thing & corruption sounds reasonable. I've got a few follow-up questions:

    Is there any sort of protection that I can get for this device?

    If no protection available, can you give specific suggestions to avoid problems? My 15 year old daughter is using the phone. I need to give her specific guidelines.

    Is there any risk passing on the virus to a PC if I back up the phone to the PC - i.e. contacts, pictures and whatever else normally backs up. I have Kapersky Antivirus on the PC.

Hello,

The software on the the device is corrupt and that's why it freezes and cannot boot. It also froze and stopped on the load screen because some files are missing by corruption.

Some how, virus entered in to the device or maybe you don't shut down the device properly of it off suddenly improperly (maybe just removing the battery).

It should be clear to you by now that your device is not strong and needs to be used with care and as if its an egg.

Try to get it reset again and handle more carefully this time. Also if you notice any sign of malfunctioning after then, I would advice that you dispose it off and go for something else.

    Hello,

    yes, you can install avast anti virus, kaspersky or anyone recommended by Sprint when you take it for reset.

    Just as I have stated earlier, avoid removing battery suddenly from the device because this will definitely cause corruption, avoid plugging it to PC that you are not sure of its virus status because it might transfer virus to the device, avoid browsing porn sites because there are virus on such sites, always shut down properly and avoid allowing it turn off without it shutting down properly and so on.....

    Before you back-up to any PC, make sure the PC is scanned thoroughly and make sure its virus free, before you proceed the back-up.

    Lastly, ask Sprint if they can help you install any recommended anti-virus and further ask questions for the safety of the device as they might have addition advice with mine put together will be of great help.

My 2011 Triumph Sprint GT wouldn't attempt to start yesterday.There is no reaction to start button and lights don't come on. ABS light flashes slowly.Battery has been charged and ridden weekly.


Hi, Tony and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Tip over sensor needs a reset.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
9. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
10. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
11. Check for engine trouble codes.

Brand new Flip Mino HD froze & now won't turn on. HELP!


return it for a refund! i bought one, it did the same as yours. i returned it and bought the 2nd one. It did the same as the first one (and the same as yours.)

It is a piece of junk. Supposedly the previous Flips were good, unfortunately, I didn't have the previous models so my experiences only are bad.

I have the LG lotus phone from sprint and its completely frozen.


this is a software issue, you can take it up to a service and repair center and have the device reflashed if you have insurence they will fix it or replace it at no cost

HTC touch pro frequently requires reset


HTC Touch Pro is a joke. My HTC Mogul quit working after a year's worth of light use in August 2009. I stupidly chose to upgrade to the HTC Touch Pro. The first one I had, the keyboard quit working with 6 weeks (unfortunately for me, not in Sprint's 30 trade in period!). I had also had issues with the screen freezing off and on, and not being able to answer calls half the time. Don't even get me started on the camera lag, the not being able to hear who is calling me due to poor ear speaker, etc, etc.

So, I called Sprint, and they replaced it with a "refurbished" model. No battery included, just a phone in a bag in a UPS box. I got my number transferred over to it, got all my info transferred over to the "new" Touch Pro. Within two hours, the phone locked down - completely froze. Tried soft reset - NOTHING. Took the battery out for a few minutes. Resolved the issue temporarily. Within an hour it had done it again. By the sixth lock down in less than 24 hours, the phone stayed that way for 2 hours straight. As I type this, two days in to having the phone, I am now up to eleven different times this phone has froze up.

I called Sprint, asked them to please replace this piece of ****. They so nicely offered to replace it with yet another HTC Touch Pro. I asked them if it was at all possible to replace it with a comparable phone from another manufacturer. The answer? NO. It seems it is their policy that they have to replace a phone at least THREE seperate times before they will even consider replacing it with another brand. So, I wrote to every executive e-mail address I could find. I was finally contacted by a "V.I.P. Analyst" with
"Sprint Executive & Regulatory Services" through my e-mail. She told my wife she's been leaving me voicemails on my phone. Funny, I don't even show a missed call on the phone. Unknown as to the voicemails, because the phone won't unfreeze for long enough for me to check them!

Anyway, my wife explained that I was totally unsatisfied by the Touch Pro, and again asked for it to be replaced with a comparable phone from a different brand, as I need a phone that is reliable for business use. Amazingly, she was told no. She explained, again, that we have been with Sprint for five years, and carry five lines with them, spending an average amount of $4200 a year on their services alone. She told her she could "understand your frustration, but the contract you "signed" says that they are only a service provider and are in no way responsible for the devices." The best they can do is replace it with another Touch Pro, as they have no record of having problems with this device. My wife told her to check some of the internet forums and tech reviews. The response? She can "appreciate that people are blogging about it, but again, Sprint has no known issues with this particular device." Funny, I can read through this one site alone and see that SEVERAL Sprint customers have issues with the Touch Pro.

I'm still trying to get something done through Sprint, as overall, they are a great company to be with. I just can't believe they would be willing to lose a five year customer over a piece of **** like the Touch Pro!

My recommendation on the HTC Touch Pro? STAY AWAY, STAY VERY FAR AWAY!!!

I did a hard reset on my Vetta II but it will not take the flash memory update. I have retried 6 times but as soon as I start the load it reads complete and instructs me to hit send long before the update...


I had to uninstall all line 6 programs and the do a search on my computer for any files that did not get deleted with the uninstall and delete them. After a cleaning of all line 6 products I reinstalled the programs and drivers for the midisport and got my amp reset.

I still can not use the program Line 6 uses to edit patches ( midi time out) . but I can get back to playing. I going to try to do all of the line 6 stuff on a computer I just wiped the harddrive on. that should clear all conflicts.

Rumor 2 Picture Mail Problem


Call sprint tech support and have them walk you through resetting your picturemail token. This will require your lock code so you will need to be speaking with sprint. They will also check your picturemail account.

CHECK THE READ SIDE OF THE DISC FOR WAVY RAINBOWS. IF YOU HAVE NO DIFFACULTIES ON ANY OTHER GAME THAN ITS NOT THE CONSOLE, BUT THIS IS A SIMPTUME OF THE CONSOLE BREAKING DOWN. IT WILL TAKE WEEKS TO KNOW IF IT IS THE CONSOLE. IT WILL FINALLY FAIL TO READ ANYTHING. SEE WHAT XBOX.COM/SUPPORT SAYS.
