Question about Sony Xplod XM-554ZR Car Audio Amplifier

1 Answer

2000 ford focus sony edition (xplod)

I was jammin' some Zepplin the other day and all of a sudden ALL the speakers turned off... the cd player/radio was still working fine, and i can even still hear a little bass when i turn the volume way up. i just can't get any other sound to come out. I bought the car used so i don't have a manuel for the system, and all the fuses are fine... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated; i have a 2 hour commute 3 times a week, and desperately need some rock back in my life... Thanks a lot for the help! -Dave dklesert@hotmail.com

Have a '97 dodge ram truck with factory radio, how to install sony xplod amp?

You need a line level converter to connect to the speaker wires coming out of your Dodge stock radio. Like products from PAC, or Audio Control or specifically a Cache ClocD.

I have a sony xplod 600 amp, hook it up,but the green light remains on,i have it hook to front speakers of my yaris, and i will hook the rear speakers to.why is the light on?

this is caused because the remote wire isnt unhooked. u either have to turn the remote wire off or connect the wires to the blue wires on the back o your radio for the light to turn off. that light WILL drain your battery fast!

I had the same problem as you. The problem is the wiring from your speakers to your amp TRIPLE check your wiring. Make sure that none of them got disconnected or connected to the wrong wire.

Well i need help with my amp./

If the amplifier doesn't have speaker level inputs, you will need to use a Line Output Converter (LOC) to convert the speaker level signal to a preamp level signal.
