Question about Price Pfister Marielle Kitchen Faucet with Matching Spray and Soap ...

1 Answer

I asked before as to why the sprayer pressure was so low, so I disassembled all the connections and blew them out, still not much sprayer pressure. I then removed the mixing valve from the spout stem, where the three lines ocme in. The H & C lines are clear, but the sprayer connection seems to be regulated by a small, internal hydro-pressure valve, which I can;t seem to blow through. Can I remove this? Should I? Are there any troubleshooting steps for this small mixing valve?

Hello. I install lots of faucets for folks and I can tell you that I discourage this brand. That said, they should stand behind this product and either assist you in making it work properly or replacing it. DO NOT do anything to the faucet that will void any warranty protection you may have. Instead, go to this link: http://www.pricepfister.com/support/index.aspx
AND work directly with the technicians there to trouble shoot and repair/replace, at their expense of course. OTHERWISE you will go to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General of your state and file formal complaints.
Regards, Joe

Honda pressure washer 2400 psi worked fine yesterday, today the pressure is low, seems to work fine except the level of press sure is low any suggestions?

Check for an inline filter on the water hose connection, the low pressure side. Depending on your water quality and if any spiders made homes inside your hose, they can get clogged pretty easily.

I have a 3 gal. back sprayer. When you try to presureize the tank to spray, The pump seems to work but there is no pressure. If repairs are necessary, where in the Redding, Ca. area is a repair shop for...

Hi there
There are many possible reasons for your sprayer not pressurizing. If the pump lever is moving freely and does not seem to be building pressure while pumping it is possible that the O-ring at the valve is damaged, the seal in the pressure regulator is leaking, the piston or the collar is worn. Any of these problems will require disassembly of the unit and inspection of each part. If you do feel resistance building as you pump but quickly loose pressure you likely have leaks in the diaphram, it's seal, the pressure cylinder or the tank itself.
If you are comfortable disassembling the unit and inspecting the parts for wear or damage most of the individual replacement parts are fairly easy to replace and readily available online from Solo or at many retail outlets and supply companies. Solo has done a great job with how-to videos and instructions for each procedure on their web site www.solousa.com
If you are not comfortable disassembling and repairing your sprayer yourself you can try contacting a mower/equipment repair shop in the Redding area as is seems the nearest Authorized Solo sprayer repair center is Cloverdale Saw in Cloverdale CA, 707-894-2273

LOW WASH PRESSURE ON UPPER SPRAY ARMS

You may have debris in the sprayer arm jets. It is usually simple to remove the sprayer arms. Then rinse them well using the sink sprayer for forceful water power. I have sometimes had to use a tweezer to remove bits of plastic, paper, bone, or food particles. Once you've remove the debris, rinse well forcing water through to dislodge any other debris. Once you've reattached the sprayer arms, you should have cleaner dishes. Also, some brands of dishwashers have a pipe that runs up the inside back wall and connects to a pipe that runs under the top shelf. Water flowing through this pipe under the top shelf propels the sprayer arms. If the connection at the back is not flush with the "propel" pipe there won't be enough water pressure to turn the sprayer arm. Check to see if your dishwasher has this type of set up.
I hope this works. If it does, please let Fixya know by rating my solution.
Good luck!

Remove spay head from the end of the sprayer hose and turn the water on. If you have good pressure without the head, call Delta and ask for a new spray head. If you still have low water pressure without the spray head attached, call Delta and ask for a new ceramic disc cartridge free.

No spray at all, line clean, hand valve not opening

usually have to take it apart! Try the lime away products for bathrooms to get rid of the hardened product left in the line. I don't remember any filter being on this model or any easy way to disassemble. Hot soapywater might be another choice.

Why do I have low pressure on sprayer and still have water coming out of faucet when I am spraying.

Get the replacement parts in about 10 days FREE from PP. Call 800-732-8238. The flow is the diverter tee. I had the cartridge and aerator replaced. And then I replaced the diverter tee. I ordered the parts on a Saturday; got them the following Saturday. Below is a video to remove the diverter tee. The video is helpful, but doesn't tell you about the other 2 connections. The "spout" connection and the connection to the right (the "t" part) is simply a wiggle off. Then after those are off (with lots of water coming out - get towels ready), then you can crawl back from under the sink and get the sprayer off. The sprayer procedure is in the video (push up/in hose) then pull down gray collett. These faucets were discontinued in 2005; a plastic disconnect is now available for newer models. Also, we had to replace the cartridge and the aerator to keep it from leaking out of the handle. The problem we originally had was not having equal pressure with the faucet and the sprayer. The faucet would be running and then the pressure would go down. The sprayer would be weak when the faucet was on - never getting full pressure from the sprayer, just a trickle. It was "moody."

Removing Diverter/Quick Connect:
Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Price Pfister, here is a link to a video that will guide you through the steps on how to either remove the quick connect or the diverter.
http://www.pricepfister.com/about/diverter.aspx
You can go to PP's website and see and "Exploded View" of the model you have. If in the model number it states "XX" that is the finish - for example, mine states Marielle Kitchen Faucet "26-3NXX" The "3" is the number of holes (put a 4 in its place for 4 holes). The XX is SS for Stainless steel - even though it's chrome.

pull the sprayer out, get some plyers or a wrench and losen up the connection. between the hose and the sprayer there is usually a screen take it out and walla it should take care of you, it also helps to leave the sprayer in some lime away or vinegar for a few hrs to get the hard water losened up in it

If it shoots from the pump without lines connected, then there has to be blockage somewhere. You mentioned you blew the lines out, did you blow directly back through nozzles themselves?

Side spray has very low pressure

Disassemble the sprayer and remove the dirt and dibri gathered inside.

Reassemble.

Has the water been turned off to that faucet, or the entire home recently? If yes, it probably loosened sediment in the pipes and its clogging the sprayer.
