Mike ultimately it depends on the charging board and battery combination most modern units it won't hurt at all. I leave mine plugged almost all the time as well as my laptop.

Some DVD players will work without the battery plugged in anyway, and batteries store best with a partial charge.

I'm not going to get into battery science but Lithium Ion, NiCad and NmH batteries all like to be treated a little differently.

I think you are safe....but in time all batteries will fail regardless.

Cheers!

How do i turn off the demo mode?

The "DEMO" mode initializes when power is initiated in the unit for the first time. You cancel it by turning turning the power on by using the button the unit or the remote. If you unplug the unit from the power outlet between uses, and plug it in again...it will go back to the demo mode.this can be avoided by leaving the unit plugged in between uses and/or install 3 AA batteries in the battery compartment in the lower rear behind the main battery compartment .these batteries are memory storage.it is not necessary to instal the 9 size D batteries for portable use unless you use it as a portable...I hope this was helpful...

My canon powerssot sd450 got wet and will not function

Hi

The only thing you can do with this camera is leave it to dry over a couple of days. It will not work because the moisture has shorted the internal circuitry. Do not force it to dry out with anything like a hairdryer as this can often cause more harm to the circuitry.

There's no special magic you can do at this stage to help make it work - it simply needs to dry out and more often than not the camera will work again once this has happened.

I would advise you to remove the batteries and then leave the camera in a dry place in your house where air can easily circulate. Wait and hope for the best!

Thanks for using FixYa.

Battery lifearmful to

Best thing is to take out the battery if you aren't going to be using it. Leaving the battery plugged in all the time will decrease the battery life.

See this article for more details.

Thanks, and please take a moment to give this solution a thumbs up, solved rating. Thanks!

The red charge light will not come on while it is plugged up.

These are natorious for this . What happens is they go dead a lot so people tend to just leave them pluged in during movie time's the thing is it also charges during this time has well, thuss causing over charge. I know! I know! you would think they would be made to no better than this. The answer its done on purpose. Has you have found they sold two to you . you was smart tho and exchanged it. just remember to take the battery off when the light is green. And then plug it in and enjoy ! meaning you will have to do one more exchange.

Bouncing Picture on WS48511 MITSUBISHI PROJECTION TV

I have seen this symptom a lot recently. There is a 9 volt regulator on the small signal board, and the output voltage on this IC has dropped down to about 8 volts, which causes that symptom. Replacing that regulator should cure your problem, and when I make a housecall for a set like that I charge $150, although I hear that the average service center charges a lot more than that. I also believe that it is never a good idea to leave a projection TV on all the time, so whoever told you that has no idea what they are talking about.
