Question about Bose TriPort Consumer Headphones

3 Answers

The swiveling piece on my bose headphone band broke. Is there any place that sells parts or broken headphones for this? All I really need is this one piece, everything else works fine. I contacted Bose and all they offered was to replace the headset for $60 + s&h.

My model is actually the Around Ear Bose Triport headphones model. The suggested link is replacement ear buds for the in ear model.

Any other sources? I've already checked ebay several times and have found nothing.

Thanks for looking. Do you have any recommendations on a specific type of glue that will dry fast and hold very strong? I have been using super glue and it has practically fallen apart on that joint now.

Hello,

I have looked around and checked all the sites that I know seem to find the parts for your broken head phone.

Is the damaged that bad? Why not look for a why to join the broken parts together neatly with maybe super glue or good gum or any other thing that can hold the broken part firmly.

I don't think the parts for the head phone is available.

Take care.

    Hello,

there are other glue(s) like Krazy glue, gorilla suprer glue and lost more.

Also if the broken part is plastic, get a very good copper wire, pill the rubber to remain the metal. Put the broken part of the earphone in a strong heat/fire, and allow it soften. Once its soften, you can then insert the copper wire into the rubber before it gets cold.

When the heated part is cold/dry, it copper would have been inside the rubber to hold it firm. Even without putting the copper wire, it would still stay firm with the heat, but its stronger with the copper.

I hope you understand and would be able to do this.

    Take care

In that case you can try local repair shops or radio shack, if that does not help then unfortunately there is no other way to buy parts as even bose wont sell them.

    Thanks

You can have Bose replace the headset for you (new w/ 1-year warranty), but if it's past it's current 1-year it will cost you $60.Unfortunately Bose doesn't supply parts for that headset, but you could try using plastic adhesive as a low-tech fix. First Google search result for plastic adhesive:http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Windows/Doors/Product-Information/Products/Adhesives/Plastic-Adhesive/ .

The right hand side ear phone swivel has broke I want to repair it, can i get a spare part for this? ( logitech noise reducing headphones)

If you cannot find a replacement, I've fixed many of my broken headphones, where they pivot, using acrylic nail powder. You can purchase it at your local beauty supply, like Sally's. You need to buy the powder and the liquid. It will bond it back together and make it stronger than it was new.. You will be amazed what you can fix with acrylic nail powder.

Good Luck.
