Question about Dishwashers

Water does not recirculate, takes water in and heats it up okay

Water does not recirculate after taking water in, heating element works okay. Could it simply be the recirculatory pump or something simpler (and therefore cheaper)?

I'd suggest you re-post with additional info, such as: 1. Brand of dishwasher 2. Model number 3. Does the recirculating motor run after the unit fills? 4. Does the dishwasher pump the water back out when it normally would? 5. Does it make any noises, other than the inlet of water? 6. How old is the dishwasher, and how long have you had this problem? Has it worked before or never worked?

There may be a shard of broken glass stuck in the wash pump, this is very common. or it may be the capacitor that has worn out. try gaining access to the wash pump and with a slotted screw driver, turn the shaft at the back of the motor, if it turns freely, with EXTREME CAUTION, start the machine up and when the motor should be running, turn the shaft with the flat screw driver and if it runs as normal, replace the capacitor, that will solve your problem. If on the other hand the motor is jammed when you initialy turned the shat, there will be glass or something similar stuck in it. hope this has been beneficial to you.

How do i fix my stiebel eltron tankless electric water heater? It stop working..

Th easy fix would be installing a new heating element that has burned out. You don't say what size this tankless heater but if it stopped working entirely you might have just one heating element inside. You can test it by (1) turning off the circuit serving the heater, disconnecting one of the wires to the heating element, then taking an ohmmeter to see what the resistance of the element is. If it is "infinity" then it is open and burned out. Replace element. If it is around 6 ohms (for a 10kW heater running at 240V) then the heating element is OK. Unfortunately those heating elements don't last forever. Check the repair manual on how to replace the heating element.

Does your machine take in hot or cold water. If it takes in hot water the element that heats and maintains the heat may be defective. If it takes in cold water the element is heating it but the thermostat is cutting out the element at too low a temperature. Normally dishwashers take in cold water and heat it to the required temperature, which would mean that the thermostat is faulty?

Sounds like one of your heating elements is not heating properly.
Check to make sure you are getting power to both of the heating coils, you can check that by removing the two covers over the heating elements and checking with an electric ohm/volt meter for power to the elements. If you have power going to both elements then you will need to check the elements themselves.
Unplug the water heater and then check the two heating coils to make sure they have continuity across the two terminals. You probably will find only one is working, replace it with a new element and enjoy all the hot water you can use.

W6021 will not heat water, but will continue to wash a complete cycle. It does take over 3 hours to complete one cycle. I have changed the temperature select module.

Sounds like heating element, should read around 30 ohms on multimeter if okay, if faulty will take forever to do wash...Good luck
