Firmware Problem + Can't upload new Firmware

I accidentally hit "Reloaded Firmware" instead of "Clean
Up", and now I can't put firmware back onto my player. My Zen Vision:M
won't start up anymore, it just flashes "Firmware Problem!" then goes
into recovery mode. To try to fix it, I've hit "reload firmware"
multiple times, like Creative's site told me to do. I then attempted to
upload Creative's firmware onto it. It didn't work. It just said
"firmware upgrade failed" after about 5 minutes. I then tried Cretive's
"MP3 Player Recovery Tool"
That said that it failed too. I then went tried it again after
formatting my player. It still didn't work. I really like my ZVM, and I
want to have it functional again ASAP. Can you please help me?

It's a different problem for a different player. Thanks for the response though.

Ok, I got it to work finally.
All I needed to do apparently was reinstall the programs that came bundled with my player on a CD onto my computer. I guess some of them got corrupted or something. Anyway, I hope this helps someone else.

The only thing you can try is upgrade the firmware - in the process of deleting songs, you may have accidentally erased a system file or two - if the firmware can't be reloaded, then the player is unusable at this point:
perform a firmware upgrade to
restore it.

Zen vision m firmware problem

Dear All this problem is caused if the computer has windows media player 11 installed. I googled this for days trying to fix it - & was relieved when i finally sorted it - it's very easy. Just do the following.
Use a computer that has XP (either pro or home edition) (forget about vista....). go to add/remove programs - uninstall windows medi player - on my PC it does a roll back to WMP version 9. There's also a program called "Windows media format runtime 11" which comes with WMP11 & you need to uninstall this too - otherwise it still won't recognise the player.

Then restart your PC. Then make sure you have downloaded the lastest firmware version - just google it - trying to find the right one on the creative website is not easy - their website is poor - there are quite a few other places you can download it from.

Then I clicked the "reload firmware" option in the recovery mode (I had already deleted it 4 days ago). Then when your PC has restarted plug in your Zen, it should come up something like "MTP device recognised". Now when you double click on the firmware downloaded to install - it it will recognise the player & you can click the upgrade button. It does the upgrade & puts the firmware back on the ZEN. I got a message saying "firmware upgrade failed" at the end although when I started the player - it booted up as normal & I was able to reload & play my music.

This sure beats the "send it back to John Lewis, pay 60 quid & wait 6 weeks for it to come back " option - if like mine it's out of warranty

Zen Vision M freezing during music upload.

Try to add your music a bit at a time instead of your whole library at once. That will freeze it. You can also try sync with Window's Media Player, which works a lot better than the Creative software.

Delete or reset a wrong firmware file for IVO- m600 mp3 Player (Rockchip)

This is how to get into update mode,

All you do is this,

1) Switch the player OFF using the main on/off switch.

2) Hold down the "MENU" or the "PLAY" button and keep it held down.(try the other buttons if these dont work)

3) Connect the usb to the player.

4) Wait for about 10 seconds before releasing the button.

5) You should be now in "ROCK USB" upgrade mode

6) Then just start ConsumerUpdate and upload your firmware.
