The retaining collar in my nomenclature for Delta is the ring that holds the cartridge into the valve. If we are talking apples to apples, there is no reason for it to be difficult to unscrew. A good firm grip and average strength turning counterclockwise has always been sufficient, but there are exceptions to everything.

The bottom roll of laminating film will not remove.

most likely, someone has unscrewed the thumbscrews in the right side "collar". Best thing you can do is loosen both thumbscrews on the both collars, push the film on the shaft as far left as you can. then tighten both screws back down as tight as you can by hand. then grab the film and push the entire assembly to the right as it's spring loaded to the right. once it clears the keyed shaft holder on the left, just lift up and out. the right side collar screw should never be loosed. it just causes problems. First of all, there is a recall for gas tank replacement for your vehicle. The dealer will replace it free. The link will get you to the document in PDF form

The exhaust on my rear cylinder is making excessive noise, i'm not complaining but on inspection, the manifold is split, it seems to have made out of 2 pieces! why would any1 do that??? shoud i replace...

Muffler putty, no. If you have it off, take it to the local welder. They can tell you if it is fixable. Usually your best bet is to just spend the money and order a new original equipment replacement part (if a good salvage/used part is not available. Be sure to replace the exhaust gasket in the head when you put the pipe back on. EBAY may be a good source of a good used head pipe.

Input jack fell inside

Yes, the jack MAY actually be broken. It will need to be serviced. Run cables through the handle to avoid plugs from being yanked sideways and breaking the jacks.

How do you take the headlight out of 1998 ford taurus se?

Use a screw driver to release the plug retainer on top. Remove plug. Turn collar 1/8th turn to remove. Wiggle bulb and pull back. Do not touch the glass of the new bulb. The oil on your skin is enough to shorten the life of the bulb.

Push new bulb into place being sure the retainer is on top. Reinstall collar and plug wire.

You may need to remove the battery to get enough room for your hand on the driver side and the two hoses on the passenger side.

I just did it and it is relatively easy.

My chuck on my drill will not close

Could be couple problems, the jaws are sticking or the chuck retaining screw is loose jamming up the jaws. If the jaws are sticking you can try some WD 40 and run the tool in for/rev holding the collar with gloves and see if it loosens up or if the screw is loose it is a LH thread. Let me know if you need more assistance.

Never had a portable, put connector on tap and it blasts off when turn on water

I am assuming that you have the appropriate adapter on your faucet.

You are not actually getting the connector attached to the faucet.

Pull down on the locking collar while lifting the hose connector onto the faucet adapter.

When the connector snaps into place, release the locking
collar.
Turn the hot water on slowly until it is all the way on.
