Question about Refrigerators
My GE PTS25LHSARBB has developed a problem in the past 2 weeks. It appears that at times the freezer and refrigerator temps do not hold the desired values. The unit will not respond even if the new settings are entered. The only way for the temps to be achieved is by unplugging the power cord, wait around one hour and replug the cord.Once this is accomplished, it works fine (until the next time).Any advise? Frank
Have you checked the evaporator coil for icing up,it sounds like after you unplug it it defrosts and the evaporator deices, this could be caused by dirty evaporator and condenser coils or warm air getting around door seals condensing on the evaporator coils and freezing and blocking cold air flow,if this is the case, then check defrost heater circuit for proper operation
