Question about Panasonic PV-DM2799 27 in. TV/VCR/DVD Combo
Television works fine for a short time, then the display will collaspe to a thin white line horizontally on the screen left to right. Audio and all other components appear to continue to work fine, screen display just fails. I have some electronic experience and feel it may be a capacitor failing. Problem as always, which one. Any suggestions?
Since it works then fails it sound like a simple cold solder joint. All TV's can have this problem and it is a simple one, Solder will heat up and cool down at different temperatures, this will cause a small ring fracture at the connection, simply re soldering this will fix your problem.
