Ive tried turning on and off my calculator, which works just fine, you can see the screen turn on, yet it is blank. i tried changing the shade of the screen, which also works, but no other buttons work, ive cant see anything at all. this happened, so i took out the batteries and put them back in, it gave me a screen with a bunch or random dots and a couple values, but the numbers were incomplete. i took out the batteries once more, and it went back to the blank screen. does this mean theres something wrong with the hardware
..the batteries are quite cold, and my calculator was in the bottom of my backpack the whole way home..
Welll what i recommend you to do is to open your call culator
this will help it fix any problems that it has
Also clean all the ends of your calculator and check all the circuits
now this will only help you if you do a slow and patient proces otherwise you will mestup your calculator

The solution set of a linear inequality in two variables (x,y) is one half of the Cartesian plane. The half-plane may or may not contain the boundary line defined by the = sign. Thus it is expected that the calculator shades the relevant half-plane. If you are dealing with nonlinear inequalities the calculator shades inside or outside the curve. When drawing multiple inequalities the Casio offers you the possibility to shade the regions where ALL conditions (ALL inequalities) are simultaneously satisfied. The other option is OR. If you are not interested in the shading do not draw inequalities, draw equations (with =).
There is an APPlication called Inequalz that graphs inequalities. you must have executed it previously and it is still lingering in memory. You must unload it from RAM. Press the APPS button. find Inequalz in the list of apps highlight it and press ENTER. You will see a screen that display INEQUAL RUNNING. Press 2:Quit Inequal. It will be unloaded from memory.
TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.
If that doesn't do it, please append a comment to this post and we'll go on from there.
The Texas Instruments TI-83 is a graphing calculator. It's aimed towards math and science students and lets them graph and compare functions, perform data plotting and perform analysis. It has an updateable memory for adding software applications. The device comes pre-loaded with applications too. An optional connectivity kit allows you to hook the device up to your computer, and there are also optional slide cases to protect it.
Turn on the TI-83. Press the On button.
Step 2Adjust the display contrast. Press and release the key marked "2nd" and then press and hold the arrow buttons, which are below and above the yellow half-shaded circle.
Step 3Go to the Home Screen. You can do this from anywhere. Just press the button marked 2nd and then Quit.
Step 4Perform a sample calculation to get the hang of how to use the device: Model flipping a coin 10 times. Track how many of those coin flips end up in a heads result and you want to do this simulation ten times. Press Math and the left arrow which will bring up the MATH PRB menu.
If it is a screen with a pattern of dots then it might be in a graphing mode with a grid showing, does pressing 2nd quit do anything? Have you tried removing the batteries and the lithium battery and then putting them back in, let me know the outcome of these trials and I will try to figure this out for you
