Hello , sometimes what happens is that there could be objects blocking the path of the paper on one side. Maybe a paper clip or a pen, I have seen this many many times. Just turn off the printer and remove the paper from the feeder. Unplug the printer from the power cord. Then flip the printer upside down and shake it a little most of the times you will find something stuck in there and it will fell down. If you do not find anything maybe then there is something wrong with the feeder roller. Also try the following link http://bit.ly/9nrlMW

Paper enters printer straight but comes out skewed

Try this approach to fix the problem:
  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.
  2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
  3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.
  4. If feeder is clear, place the printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
  5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions in the paper path.
  6. Close the printer cover.
  7. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
  8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.

My paper goes on one side than get stuck.nothing is on the way. i check everything.

Leading cause of paper jams is debris/foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please follow steps below to fix the problem:

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.

2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.

3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.

4. If feeder is clear, place the printer back on the table, open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.

5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions/debris in the cartridge carrier's path or the paper path.

6. If cartridge area is clear, close the cover.

7. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Paper feeder stuck

If the paper feeder stuck, do the following:
  1. Gently pull any jammed paper out from the output tray or sheet feeder.
  2. If paper is stuck inside, open the printer cover and remove the jammed paper, including any torn pieces. Then close the printer cover.
  3. If paper remains near the sheet feeder, press the paper feed roller lever inside the paper feeder to release the jammed paper, then carefully pull it out.
  4. Load the paper correctly.
  5. Press the cp_button_14.gif stop button to resume printing.
  • If the printer continues to jam or misfeed paper, and you are certain that there are no foreign objects lodged down inside the paper feed area, your printer may require service. Please call Epson technical support for further assistance.

It is not about the feeder roller but it is the glass over that is not fitted when printing. Open the scanner printer cover and close flattened. Check the screw it is just loose from back glass.

    Documnet feeder jam

Check input paper feeder at top too - easy to miss. Top flips open with a firm (but not excessive) pull, so you can look there.

If you are sure you've opened and looked under every available panel on the printer (there are many!), turn it off and unplug for half a minute. Make sure all panels are back properly in place, but leave out the paper tray (and no paper either in the rear input paper feeder).

Plug in and turn on. Wait for it to finish its start-up sequence - it should complain about no paper.

Check the paper is flat and straight in the paper tray, and no excess room between paper and guides, and put it in again.

    Print test page.

    How is it now?

Printer Feeder not working well. Paper always gets stuck.

Recurring paper jams can be caused by broken parts, using too much paper in the in-tray, or parts (usually the rear door) not on all the way. This video explains how to fix a paper or carriage jam, but explains along the way the things to watch for. If you go through the steps in this video and you still get paper jammed, you may have a broken printer that needs to be replaced or repaired.

Paper either just rolls through without printing or won't catch and sits there

This has occured to a 2.hand printer I just bought. First head was clogged very much. I disassembled the head, used a paper towel soaked in luke warm water to clear off the over-gooed printing head surface. It is quite easy to get the head out and back in. Unfortunately my cyan ran out during clean-cycle, so I can't say if it also cured the passing paper problem.

Brother MFC paper jams on one side

Honestly? Unplug the machine...REMOVE THE DRUM UNIT!!!!! and other parts not locked down. Turn it upside down and shake it lightly to moderately. You can also try holding the lever forward while you do this. This has worked for so many machines you would be surprised. You might be even more surprised what comes out. I have seen pens, pieces of ceiling tiles, wire clippings, Matchbox cars, and grape jelly (I didn't ask).
