I can't get the grind part out to clean it. Every time its an ordeal. Usually I just end up getting my husband to strong arm it out. Sometimes it lifts right out but mostly its VERY DIFFICULT.

Once you get it out, spray the bottom of the grinder blade with Pam no stick spray. Works for me, Jerry

I was always taught to never force anything, so I was hesitant to really pull. After I read that someone said her husband had to strong arm it out, I decided to try that. First of all, I will mention that I had run a full pot of vinegar through twice, then plain water 3 times. Then I turned the center blades just a little, pulled, turned the blades a little more and pulled hard, turned a little more. About the 4th time I pulled it out (pulling pretty hard). I really cleaned the assembly and the basket bottom and have sprayed with Pam, so I have great hopes for it to come out easily next time. Thanks.

If you clean it with a toothbrush after every use, it no longer sticks in the coffee maker.

My husband used pliers to pull on the center knob holding the blades. Still had to use force but it did come out. Don't know yet if it will cooperate next time.

Coffee brewing to slow

Have you taken the sprayhead off (remove basket and look up)? This copper tube gets clogged with lime/calcium and needs to be cleaned. They have a delimer that usually comes with a new bunn, (12 inch coily spring) that needs to be ran up the tube that the sprayhead is connected to. If it is still slow after that, the the tank itself has a buildup inside.

Improving Dishwasher Performance

If your dishwasher is not getting your items as clean as you'd like, the problem might be in your sprayer arm jets. The jets are the small openings in each of the sprayer arms. Sometimes the food grinder doesn't adequately remove all the food particles and other debris and this is pumped into the sprayer arms. You'll need to remove the arms (usually just a simple removal of a wing nut) and flush them with a strong jet of water from your faucet or the sink sprayer. I've sometimes found pieces of paper from fresh produce, small bits of plastic or bone fragments, and larger pieces of food inside the jets. A tweezer will help you remove these from the jets, thereby opening them so that the water can again be forced through them. A wooden toothpick can also be helpful cleaning the jets.

I have a Hotpoint dishwasher, model lft 04 uk/ta which is making a loud rumbling noise, the machine is filling with water as normal but the spray arms do not appear to be spinning, any advice would be...

Hello, W/D here.

If the pump is working, and it sounds like it is, then the spray arms may be clogged. Here's an easy way to clean them.
If the arms will come off, take them off. Usually, one or more of them will have a screw on top, like a jar top. Remove those, one at a time to clean, so they don't get mixed up in reassembling.
Over the sink, use a regular paper clip, straightened into an "L" to rake out the debris clogging the slots on the edge of the arm, and pushing the debris stuck in the nozzles back into the arm. Use the sink faucet to back wash the debris as best as possible back towards the screw on connection point to flush the debris out. Sometimes, the debris is stubborn, and you may have to repeat the raking and poking a few times to get it all.
For the arms that will not unscrew, you'll have to clean them in place. If they are attached to the motor cover plate, it's usually more of a headache to pull all of this off to clean the spray arm, as gaskets can become displaced and very hard to get back in place properly. Just clean them as best you can, and re-clean them after you run a cycle.
This should help getting it cleaning well again.
Best regards, --W/D--

My driver side windshield wiper gear is stripped out allowing the wiper to go were it wishes. It either travels to far and ends up getting stuck on the driver door or it goes to far down and ends up...

Knowing the make and model of your vehicle would help immensely. From your description and my experience, I would say it's not a gear, but the wiper arm itself. Where the arm mounts to the wiper transmission (aka motor), there will be a plastic or sometimes metal cover, gently pull or pry upward on the edge of it to expose the nut that keeps it in place. Remove this nut and then the arm, and inspect the 'teeth' or splines inside the hole on the arm, and on the wiper transmission, where the arm mounts. Most often the arms are made of aluminum, and the transmission is of steel, so the arm will strip first. Usually the arm can be replaced (try a junkyard for a low cost replacement) without much effort, and a few basic hand tools. Also be sure to clean any residual material from the wiper transmission where the arm mounts prior to installation, a piece of steel wool or brillo pad usually works best. I hope this helps, and good luck.

My passager side windshield wiper doesnt work but the driver side does what is the problem

The windshield wipers are moved by a system of rods and links with a motor that has a crank on it. A rod goes from this crank to each of the wiper arm cranks. . Sometimes on older cars, the bearing that the wiper arm shaft lives in will get corroded and hard to twist. When it gets really hard, it will actually stall a wiper motor, but sometimes the motor is strong enough to make the link rod pop off of the crank, depending on how the unit is made. . You'll need to get under there and look at this system and see what is hooked up. Check for the freeness of the wiper arm (is it easy to twist back and forth with your hand?) If it is free, reconnect or replace the defective ball joint on the end of the link arm for that wiper arm.

I have a GE profile dishwasher that is about 5 years old. The problem I am having with it is that it just doesnt clean the dishes. The soap sometimes doesnt alway disolve. the water is the correct temp....

Start the cycle, then after it fills with water, open the door. Move the wash arms so they all point directly to the front and put a mark on the ends with a magic marker. Close the door and let it run 10 seconds or so, and re-open the door. If any of the wash arms did not move, clean out the holes in the wash arms (seeds, candy wrappers, twist ties, bones, broken glass, etc.). You may also need to clean out the screen at the pump inlet, but usually the spray arm holes are the problem.

Dishes are not getting clean

If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

Also, There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

**Water temperature Note***

To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.
