Usually from excess air pressure or very light paint materials. Good luck!

What is the best way to lay down the clear coat over my finish coat on the fender I just painted but ruined when I shot the clear coat?

Refer to the paint manufacturer's data sheet to ensure the new gun has the right setup for clearcoat.

Could be the new gun was supplied setup for spraying a high solids primer or something that needs something like a 0.7 mm fluid tip. Clearcoat would need a 0.4 mm tip, an appropriate needle and a different air cap.

Data sheets are very valuable things. Don't forget to pick one up when you buy spray paint. A viscosity cup is another useful addition to the tool kit along with a graduated paint stirring stick.

May I have the manual for a WAGNER PAINT SMART electrical spray gun. thank you

nozzle head might be shut try turning it to open, you should here air coming out if air comes out but no paint comes out then paint is to thick and might need thinning, hope it helps.

When spraying latex paint I do not get smooth finish

Turbine powered hvlp systems are not the ideal system for spraying latex paint. If you plan to do lots of latex spraying an airless system is recommended.

You should be using a 2.00mm or 2.5mm tip. More thinning than recommended may be necessary to get a good spray. The addition of floetrol or similar latex retarder is a good idea. A retarder will slow the drying and allow more time for the paint to level and result in less orange peel finishes

2nd coat of spraying on the paint looks like it's textured. it's a damp day - could that be why?

Well, could be. You did not specify what type of paint you are spraying onto what type of material....

Are you filtering your paint? do you have an air line evaporator? The secret to drying compressed air is to COOL it first, often with long air lines (or refrigeration unit), then the vapor separator. If the air is still hot, vapor will not be separated.

and by textured, do you mean raised bumps or valleys?

Air is coming out of the nozzle but the paint is not coming out.

There are different filter screen sizes for different thickness of paint. Even with proper screen size one might need to thin paint. I hope this information is helpful. Please give a rating if this was helpful. Good Luck and have a Great Weekend.

ORANGE PEEL

Orange peel can be a really hard problem to diagnose. There are a number of things that can affect the spray pattern. I would start by doing some test spraying. Your air pressure is going to be a factor as well as the ration knobs on the gun. I would start by increasing the air pressure to the gun. Keep in mind that if you're regulator is at the tank the actual pressure at the gun is going to change based on the length of hose used. Generally speaking, more air pressure will disperse the fluids better, better dispersal better/smoother coverage. I'd start there and then tune on the knobs to adjust it. Keep playing with it until you get a pattern you're happy with. Then when you're done with that write down how many turns on each knob, and exact pressure, length of hose etc. This way when you clean the gun you can get it exactly the way you want it. Different products will also spray differently. You may need to adjust for each step in the painting process. I just had to go through this on my new gun and it took about an hour and a pint of clear to get it spraying well. Check out tcpglobal.com for paint and supplies. They have great prices and they also have a forum on painting. I am a user of their products and forum.

New to spray painting and am spraying baked enamel paint

To fix this problem you need to turn up the pressure both at the wall(coming from the air compressor) and at the gun. I would suggest 10 more psi at the wall and 5 at the guns but you can play areound to find whats best for you.
