I have the same TV and I have a cable plugged directly into it from the wall outlet. I do not have digital cable however. When the transition comes next year will this hook-up still work? Will I have to connect the cable to the converter box that I received with my cable hook-up three years ago? Will I have to upgrade to digital cable?

Afraid this set does not have a on-board digital tuner, But do you have this set hooked to cable or a antenna? If you are hooked to cable you will not have a problem, If you only have it hooked to a antenna then you might want to go to www.dtvtransition.org and check out some options for getting a converter box

I need to know if model TV 1326 is digital or analog.

If you mean the Orion TV1326, it most likely has an analog tuner. However, you can usually find a panel on the back of the tv with the serial number and the date it was built. Small TVs weren't required to have a digital tuner until March 2007. (There was a staggered rollout and 13" TVs were in the last group for the transition.)

I hope this helps.

Have Problems with getting Channels?

You've not given us the manufacturer, make and model number, but I see 3 analog inputs on the left and the usb on the right. This tells me the analog audio and video signals must come from a dvd or vcr or tv-tuner. You say getting channels, so I'm assuming you've not hooked up to a digital ready tv hooked to cable or dish or digital converter. THERE ARE NO MORE ANALOG SIGNAL CHANNELS ANYMORE. Everything went digital in June 2009. So there you have it. If you don't have usable information going in, you can't get it out. try it with sterio audio and video from a digital tv that is receiving channels, and I think you'd then see sterio and video out of your pc. After the digital transition, I lost one of the local channels. When I rescan, all of the other local channels come in no problem. ABC Channel 12 in Flint Michigan is gone. I had it no problem on...

Try the recommendations in a document posted on the FCC site (http://hraunfoss.fcc.gov/edocs_public/attachmatch/DOC-291403A1.doc)

Also be aware the several stations have had problems with the transition. Some changed frequencies on which they were transmitting and encountered area coverage issues that didn't meet their expectations. They have been working with the FCC to remedy the problems and many stations have temporarily increased output power to compensate for the issues. Some of these stations may be difficult to receive and you may need to get larger antenna. If you are still having problems call the FCC DTV transition hotline at 1-888-CALLFCC (1-888-225-5322) or the TV station for advice.

Built in tuner not working since digital transition

I do not know if you will get this message but if you do. Here goes. The protron PLTV3250 does indeed have a digital tuner that can be used with an over the air antenna. You need to push "source" on the remote until DTV is selected. With this selected and your coaxial cable from your antenna hooked up to the digital connector (not analog) on the back of this tv you can then press Menu and you will see a totally different looking menu that you are probably not used to seeing and then from there you can do an auto scan for the digital channels and it works great. I have rabbit ears hooked up to this Protron PLTV3250 and this has a beautiful picture. Far better than the picture I get from just the standard digital Directv receiver. You do not need a seperate digital tuner box to use with this TV. It does indeed have an ATSC digital tuner and it works great. You probably are selecting Source "TV" in the menu and that is not what you select for this TV to use the Digital Tuner. You need to select DTV from the source menu. Good luck and please let me know if you already knew this or if this helped you. Thanks, Tom

HP pc with built-in tv tuner

Have 9, 5 and 13 turned entirely digital as yet, so as to leave you without their signal?

From what you say, the tv tuner in your HP receives analog signals better than or instead of digital signals the stations you can receive may be analog while 9, 5, and 13 may have dispensed with their analog transmitters.

They don't have to until June, since the changeover was delayed from the original February cutoff date by Act of Congress. It is actually easier to receive a digital signal than an equally powered analog equivalent so the fact that your system worked so well with analog signals bodes well for the efficiency of your indoor antenna arrangement, though you may have to replace the possibly analog receiver in your pc with a usb digital thumbdrive like model to continue after the changeover is final.

Here's a tip...if the receiver in your pc resembles a square aluminum tin can, mounted on a PCI card in one of your slots, it is very likely analog and not digital.

Usually these receivers (or actually TUNERS) are heavily sheilded while digital receivers do not require the same amount of sheilding to avoid interference with other components, which is the concept of the big square tin can, that a digital tuner does not require.

Digital Transition

It's analog.  You need to purchase a digital receiver.  I personally have a USB external digital tuner running in Media Center 2005.  Search Ebay for "ATSC usb".  There's a lot of different options and most of them are pretty inexpensive.  To use a digital tuner in Media Center 2005, you have to leave the analog tuner / tuners in also.  You should still be able to use your current remote control with the new digital tuner.

I HAVE A 2004 RCA MODEL 24V511T. dO i NEED A DIGITAL TUNER IN ORDER TO FOR IT TO WORK AFTER FEBRUARY 17?

Model has one NTSC RF and two NTSC composite inputs. It's compatible with analog Over The Air and non-scrambled analog cable broadcasts. After the US analog cutoff (currently scheduled for June 12) it WILL require a digital to analog converter to receive ATSC digital TV transmisions.

Digital ready?

Sanyo's customer service responded that this TV is not digital. If it's connected to an antenna, you will need to purchase a Digital to Analog converter box.

I e-mailed Sanyo, and their response is that this TV has an analog tuner so you will need a converter.
