Hi my names marley & my lifeframe is built in & i have been having problems with my laptop, & it was working yesterday & now when i try to open it it says life frame 2 has stopped working...

I'm assuming this is for the webcam built in to your monitor? If this is the case, the solution seems to be to plug in the USB cable to provided. There is a USB port in the monitor for the webcam, so plug that in to your computer should be good to go.

My camera works fine but when i go on to tinychat.com i get no video feed. the mic works, everyone can hear me but my screen is black with fuzzy at the bottom. HELPPPPPPPPP

I had the same problem! This worked for me: open the lifecam program, click settings and lower the resolution. Remember to close the program before trying to use tinychat again. Hope this helps! :)

Webcam always comes up as in use by another applicatio

Each time this problem comes up, try opening your task manager to see whether any program related to the webcam is running. If there is, you might need to uninstall the program. Try uninstalling and reinstalling you webcam driver too. You might have installed a spurious program that is constantly running the webcam.

Screen says "locked by another application"

If you use your webcam in different locations it can 'hang up' on that program even when you close it.
This means when you want to use it somewhere else the new program cannot find it as available and thinks its still being used.
When you exit a webcam program and/or when you enter one - reboot your webcam by unplugging it from the USB for a few seconds.
If your cam is built in you will have to use the keyboard shortcut key to disconnect it or re-boot the laptop.

Built in webcam cannot detected by its software

Make sure the program that your using doesn't have the camera offline.

Then if the driver installed properly and you see the camera listed in the device manager then the next step would be to open up the LCD. You'll need to turn off the laptop.

Take the rubbers off of the lcd bezel then unscrew the screws out of there. Take off the lcd front bezel and this will expose the screen and also expose the built in webcam. Make sure the connector for the webcam is actually plugged in. You might have to reseat the connector or best thing is disconnect it and then reconnect it back.

Now go ahead and turn it on and use the webcam program and see if it works, if it still doesn't work then the built in webcam is bad.
