Question about Microsoft Windows? Vista Home Basic Edition Full Version for PC (882224181112)
Using Windows XP and earlier versions, I created batch files using EDIT. For example to exit from the Command Prompt, instead of typing EXIT I entered that command in a batch file X.BAT which shortened the action of leaving the Command Prompt.
I also created other batch files such as
C:\COPY LOTUS\WORK \123\*.* F:\123 in a batch files named 123.bat which copied the relevant files to a USB Stick so that I could transfer the data to another computer elsewhere.
How can I create the same processes in VISTA?
In vista and in windows 7.
you can create CMD files that take the same commands as batch files.
Open notepad begin with @echo off and then press enter and write your commands.
the same commands work as in xp.
once you are done, click file, and save as. You have to set the file type to any and then save the file name as for example x.cmd make sure you write the CMD after the dot.
