It sounds like it is damp inside. It needs to dry for several days with the power and charger off.

One popular method is:
Remove the battery from the phone, if possible, or at least turn the phone off. ...
  1. Disassemble the device, if possible. ...
  2. Blow compressed air on the device to remove as much water as possible. ...
  3. Fill a container three-quarters full with dry, uncooked rice.

Dropped htc windows phone in water any tips

Turn it off and remove the battery pronto. Next, fill a zip-lock bag with rice. Lay the bag down flat and set the phone inside the bag, resting on top of the rice. Seal the bag, and leave it that way for two days. The rice will absorb the moisture in the phone, and if you're lucky, it'll be completely fine.

I recently jumped into a pool with my cell phone in my pocket (SAMSUNG Reality). I realized it 10 minues or so after. Dried the phone. A day later, the phone will turn on when connected to charger...

When phone gets wet NEVER try to turn it on. Take battery out right away shake water off and put both in bowl of rice for at least 24 hrs. If your not home or don't have rice right away take battery out and get some. We have a bowl of rice on the counter all summer long for those who jump in the pool with phone in their pocket. I have washed them dropped them in the toilet my son jumped in pool with his phone, put it rice for 24 hrs and we were up and running with the exception of the one in the pool, that one cost me new battery on Ebay ($4.95) but phone worked fine, didn't even lose contacts or pictures. But the key is to NOT try to turn it on after its been wet. Water and batteries don't mix.

I did not get my phone wet but its 34 degrees outside and snowing. is there some kind of reset button?

Well... chances are that your waranty is now void. There is a tiny little circle inside your phone that turns purple/pink when water touches it; including snow.

You can't really reset it but you can give it some time to dry out by putting it in rice or a warm area for a few days. Just keep it off so it doesn't short out.

Verison is bad with things like that. If you have insurance on the phone you might be ok, but otherwise they will be very picky. You might be obligated to buy a new phone for full face value.

Sorry about that. Hope everything works out for you.
