All lights on all connected ports on a netgear gs105 switch rapidly flashing constantly; data traffic seems slow or drops. Occurs regardless of how many devices connected or which ones.

1. A switch is a dumb device it just transfers data via the ports
2. if you are having slow or dropped data this possibly is due to bandwidth issue.
3. contact your internet service provider to check your speed and you line condition.
4. You didn't say if you were using a router, but if so this could what is call "collision"
5. some switch do this due to speed of the data throughput\.

I just bought my DYNEX 4-Port 10MBPS Hub. My PC and PS3 are attached to the Hub. Problem is only one work at a time. When I attach the secound one the green light is flicking real fast. As per manual...

A "Network Hub" is not a good device for connecting to a network. Collision is the most common problem with this device. Since you said that the device is new, maybe you can return it to the shop you bought and buy a "4 port Network Switch".

What the difference is that a hub transfers all the data that comes in one port to all the other ports. But the switch can decide destination of the incoming data. So, when the hub is sending data to a device, that device has to know whether or not to accept the data. This doesn't happen here in your case. So, better buy a "Network Switch". They both look alike and price difference is also not that high.

Ebook not charging when connected to computer no lights on

If yiu would provide me the model number, it would be better to provide the troubleshooting steps.. However Try the below mentioned steps:
1. check whether the Computer is not in sleep mode. 2. connect the Reader to a different USB port. 3. Don't use any USB Hub to connect the Reader to the computer.connect directly to the USB port. 4. Then, reset the Reader by pressing the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object. 5. Try connecting the Reader to a different Computer.
If the issue still persists, service of the Reader may be required. Contact Sony Support to get it repaired./

We have network collision very often, consecuently we have to reset the hub.

Network collisions happen all the time (lots of data, small pipeline) and are not a major problem. The router requests a resend on data expected but not received. Personally, I tend to ignore the "collision" indicator. All the data manages to get through anyway, in a matter of milliseconds delay.

Genius LAN 16 Port Hub Dropping connections intermittently

Col probably means Collisions. There are probably collisions going on on your LAN. Collisions can happen when there are two adapters with the same IP address or when there's a bad cable. My suggestion is that you make sure that you have unique IP addresses and that you don't have any bad cables - cable tester comes in handy.

Ive got a dsl modem a xbox 360 and a computer i pluged in a internet cord to the hub from the modem and it only apears as 1 2 3 or 4 but dosnt under col why is that?

The hub is showing you that a network connection is present. The LED that says Col indicates when collisions occur. In a blatant attempt to avoid explaining how ethernet networks operate, suffice to say that no collisions is a good thing. Some collisions is tolerable and normal, and a lot of collisions indicates a problem and can bring your network to its knees. Don't forget to turn networking on in your xbox.
