C3180 will not print as error occurs even when installed

Hi, I have installed the printer and it was working fine however, now it has suddenly stopped printing. I have checked for paper jams or anything being wrong. All the cables etc are fine and everything is switched on. Thank you

Try printing a manual self-test page:

1. Press and hold Cancel on the control panel.
2. While holding Cancel, press Start Copy Color.

The self-test report prints, containing the serial number and service ID.

This should tell you if it is a problem with the unit itself, or with communication between the unit and your computer.

Try to print but: get General Printer error 0x61000f6 beware spam number 1*800*532*4187

Hi

This error comes due to carriage jam. Turn off the printer and unplug it from wall socket. Now, remove the cartridges and check for any dried up ink residue on cartridges on inside the carriage. Clean the cartridges contacts and carriage using a Q-tip dipped i alcohol. Let the carriage and cartridges dry before you plug in the printer.
Install the cartridges and check. If it still shows error then unplug the power cord coming to the printer without switching it off. Now, remove the rear door of the printer and check for any paper jams over there, remove if any. Wit for at least 15 seconds and plug in the power cord. Now check whether it is working.

Printer was working fine. Uninsatlled driver to get rid of annoying window sayink hp tools app has quit...want to relaunch...pushed ignore ...worked fine until i uninstalled and re installed. Now won't...

Uninstall all programs involving your printer, and the download just the driver for your operating system at
the HP website It's already selected for your printer. This should update the system and fix your problem.

Cannot Print

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Doesn't work all of a sudden with vista

First check the printer icon. ( Make sure the printer is turned on during this process)
Go to Start> Control Panel Go to Hardware and sounds> Go to printers.

And check that the printer C3180 has a check mark.

Printing Slow

hi,

check the length of the usb cable. if it is very lengthy then there would be problems with the speed.

if not
> unplug the usb cable
> click "start-->control panel--> printers and faxes"
> select the printer icon and delete it
> restart the computer
> plug the usb cable
> wait for few minutes while the driver installations are complete automatically.
> once that is done, try to print

thanks and regards

Deteriorating Print Quality

This is Maltesecross. Turns out that the faintness of my printed pages was in fact due to a low ink cartridge, even though some pages printed out fine and others half-good. Eventually, all pages turned faint, and upon re-installing the driver, I got a low-ink warning (the first one ever). Putting in a new ink cartridge solved the problem for me.
