150,000btu Dayton htr (torpedo) lights, runs10 min fine, then shuts off

Dayton htr (kerosene) runs fine at first. After 10 min, it shuts off. Pushing the re-set button re-starts it for another few minutes. Have tried installing a new board, cleaning photo cell, etc. and it still does it. Just want it to run continuously.

Make sure fuel tank is vented. Try keeping fuel cap loose and see if it stays running

How to ajust dayton 155000 btu torpedo heater when running smell like kerosen

You say: When running it smells like Kerosene--
That is what you are burning in it, right?

Is it smoking--- like there is a poor combustion mixture?
-- like maybe not enough air pressure?

There is a pressure adjustment for both-- Please check the manual for adjusting the pressures for your particular model.

Dayton Model 1VNX5 Kerosene clicks like crazy but won't light

I have the same heater with the same problem. I took the top cover off, removed the ignitor and bent the probes slightly closer. Use two needle nose to prevent breakage of the holder. It has been working fine since.

Kerosene Portable Forced Air heater comes on, runs awhile

Here is a link to your owner's manual... http://12.153.20.74/manuals/123919-01A.PDF. Look on page 8 and 10. It could be several things. It could only be a dirty fuel filter or the pump pressure may just need adjustment. If you need a part you can contact Master Parts at 800-466-1446 or you can find them on-line at www.masterparts.net. I hope this helps!
