Question about Sony Handycam DCR-SR40 Camcorder
I loaded the Sony CD and transferred my vidoes from the Handycam to my PC's hard drive. It appears each video is made up of 2 or 3 files now with strange unfamilure file endings like 00234567.modd and 23445567.mpn. I amnot sure of the suffex - I will have to reload the vidoes on to my laptop and recheck the file endings. What have I done wrong because I can't transfer videos from my pc to send out as emails. I get the following message "Only Jpeg files supporting Exif can be exported" . How do I record in "JPEG mode or do I have to convert it somehow??? HELP HELP !! This camera is useless to me right now!

JPEGs are picture not video files. Find out if your email provider allows movie files to be emailed they may also have a limit on how large any file can be before emailing it. If you need to share the video files there are sites for large file sharing that you can search for.
