Question about Kodak EasyShare C643 Digital Camera

2 Answers

There are two indications of how the batteries are inserted into this camera. One is on the lid ( + and -) and one is within the battery hold. The ones inside the battery holder are completely opposite of what is on the lid. Which one is the right way? I ask because freshly charged batteries are NOT working no matter which way I insert them. There is NO MANUAL with this camera, which I think is a cheap way for Kodak to sell these things. Very dissapointed with this camera.

Hi,
The batteries are fitted one with the plus side down and the other with the plus side up.
The one nearest the side of the camera is plus side up.
There is a manual on http://www.kodak.com.
Hope this helps.

If there are springs that is usually the negative terminal.
Does the door have a hinge that opens to one side picture if the door was closed would they still be opposites?

Can battery compartment be repaired when tabs are broken off which hold lid down?

possibly...if it is the body where the tabs are broken off the manufacturer (Olympus) might be able to replace the body shell. I'd check with them.

Canon PowerShot A530 Digital Camera My problem is everytime I insert new battery in my camera the indicator is always low battery... And when I turn it off and on again sometimes full battery.. Is there...

Hello

If the batteries are indeed new batteries and you are continuing to get this low battery warning, there is a defect within the camera. However, it may or may not be critical.

Test out a new set of batteries, if they last you a typical amount of time, the error is a false reading and can be ignored. However, if the batteries drain at an advanced rate, there is a short in the camera and it will need to be sent in to Canon for service.

When i try to turn my camera on it flashes a small red light and then it won't turn on, how do i fix this?

Hi,

The Red indicator flashing in the Camera may be the Access Lamp or the Power Lamp. The Access Lamp is located below the Control buttons and the Power Lamp near to the power button. If the Access Lamp is flashing, it indicates that the Camera is accessing the Memory. Do not remove the Memory Stick or Batter while the Access Lamp is lit.

If the Power Lamp is flashing, it indicates that the Camera is turned on. If the Lamp is lit in Red it shows that the Battery is not having enough charge. Insert new batteries or charged Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries to resolve the issue.

You may also try power resetting the Camera. To power reset the Camera, remove the batteries from the Camera and then press and hold the POWER BUTTON of the Camera for 15 seconds and then reinsert the batteries after 1 minute and check if the Camera works normally. If the issue persists, service may be required.

Thanks

My canon 500d wont turn on. the batteries are newly charged

Check that the battery is inserted in the right direction and that it is making good contact. I found with an earlier model that the lid didn't push the battery far enough down. Inserting a piece of cardboard just under the lid pushed it down to make better contact.

Direction to insert batteries

Look inside the piece that opens to expose the battery area, it is a tiny little area that has the indicators. One side is negative up the other side is positive up.

Digimax i5 problem charging battery

Hello,
■ Charging LED

Charging LED
Red LED is on = Being charged
Red LED is blinking = Charging error
Green LED is on = Charging is complete

● If the charge indicator blinks as red, it indicates a battery charging error.
- The battery is not properly inserted
- The terminals of battery are dirty or damaged
If the battery is inserted properly and the charge indicator continues to blink, contact the
nearest Samsung Camera Service Center.

If the charging LED doesn't turn to green could mean a signal that the battery is bad or can't charge 100% anymore = too old, needs a new battery. Hope this helps.

Do not interfere with the lens as it is out -dont try to push it back- this will wreck it. Take the batteries out and with the eraser at the end of a pencil polish the contacts at the bottom the the battery chamber. Do the same with the contacts in the lid Try a further new set of batteries. Insert them. close the lid switch on What happened? Nothing Then switch on again and this time gently push ther battery compartment lid. What happened?
