I insert a 16 gb SD memory card in my NuVue 700 plus photo frame and it is not recognizing it I took the picture with cannon slr camera. What could be the problem?

The NuVue 700 works with SD cards. Your 16GB card is actually an SDHC card and won't work in devices not specifically designed to work with SDHC cards. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Can't get my photos off of cannon powershot A460 onto my gateway laptop when using the cord from camera to usb port

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

My camera is tellling me Memory card is write protected, won't let me take pictures siince I downloaded pictures onto my computer?

Look at your memory card. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Hi, I sure hope you guys can help me out! I am trying to download some pics from my computer onto the 4GB memory card in my Canon Powershot A460, but the camera won't let me. The reason I'm doing...

Sorry, no. The camera will let you read the card to transfer pictures to a computer, but it will not let you write to the card to transfer pictures the other way around.

You can buy a card reader that plugs into the USB slot on your computer. Despite the name, a card reader will also let you write to the card. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear as another hard drive.

The card reader will also be a better way to download pictures from your camera. It's likely to be faster and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Unable to download pictures from a Vivicam 6200w

I have he same problem with the vivicam 6200W as well. The only solution is to remove the card from the camera and use a SD card reader to read it to the computer. The included driver in the CD ROM will not allow direct access to an installed SD card. Removing the SD memory card will allow you to access the camera memory itself.

The better solution is to cluck the camera away and never ever buy a vivitar again. Get a FUJI or cannon with an underwater water casing.
