There are three things which you will have to look out for to solve this problem. 1) drivers 2) connections 3) settings of the traktor in the creative x-fi notebook. any of the one is creating this sound distortion problem. reinstall the driver and reconnect the traktor again and recheck it. check out.keep updated.thanks.

Are you running into a stereo power amp via your AUX out on your sound card? If so adjust the level of the AUX out. You could be overdriving your stereo amplifier. Let your power amp do all of the work basically, your sound card is there just to provide a signal to your amp. Good luck!

I realize what you are saying, but from an audio level point of view are you overdriving the preamp in the x-fi sound card? If the level going in is too high then when it hits the preamp that will cause distortion and clipping.

Is my Soundcards THX True studio pro compatible?

Hello you can find the info here:

http://us.store.creative.com/Creative-Sound-Blaster-XFi-Titanium-PCI/M/B001E25KDK.htm

As far as i can see it only have 5.1 surround sound.
And no thx certification.
A THX certified card is more expencive.
The games you play, must also have the thx logo, and must be encoded with the thx sound system.
A thx system is 7,1, and the speakers must also have the certification.

Here are the gigabyte homepage:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3960#dl

The onboard sound card is 2 channel stereo.

Hope this was helpfull

What sound cards will work with Windows 7

Are you using the latest driver ? If yes then maybe it's an corrupted one - uninstall it, run a system cleaner and download (as in  Save, not Run) the latest one from
http://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catID=1&CatName=sound+blaster&subCatID=208&subCatName=X-Fi&prodID=14066&prodName=X-Fi+XtremeMusic
After the download has ended close the browser and launch the installer.

It sounds like either an LCD screen failure or a motherboard failure. Have you tried the reset button yet? What happens? Does it reset?

Windows closing slow means you have a bunch of program that are running in the back ground. Windows has to close each before the system can shut down. To see just what is running in the back ground. Allow windows to completly finish opening. Click the start button, click run. In the window type, msconfig & click ok. System Configuration Utility window will open. Click on the Startup tab. Now you can see just what programs are running in the back ground.
Adding memory can also help speed up a slow pc & keeping the system clean by using the two programs listed next.
First. Run disk cleanup, a windows program found in system tools. Than run Defrag also found in system tools. Restart the pc when finished. This should help your system to run a bit better.
If you have the CD that came with the sound card uninstall the software through Add/ Remove programs found in the control panel. Restart the pc. Reinstall the drivers from the CD & try opening a few programs. Open & run the program your using to play music. Any better? If not try using another music program like iTunes a free download found here. http://www.apple.com/itunes/
You can also try the drivers from creative they may be newer than your CD here: http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/welcome.asp?action=next
Enjoy!
