Gramins will not link to devices requiring 0000 code. To get round this I purchased a sony portable blue tooth transmitter which uses the 0000 code. This plugs into the 3.5mm audio output on the garmin and the transmits to your device. Not the perfect solution as the sony is battery powered (approx 10hrs run time) but it works. All the best Julian

Bluetooth asks for pin

the phone is asking for a bluetooth pairing code. Usually 4 digits. It is printed in the owner manual of the device or headset you are pairing with the phone.

Try 0000 or 1234 or 0123

if none of those work, you must look up the pin code in the owners manual of the headset.

99% of the time 0000 is default pin code.

Good luck,
S

PIN Codes for most Bluetooth Headsets

Most Bluetooth headsets have a factory set PIN (Pairing) code of 0000 (four zeros). Other pin codes to try are 1234, 1111, 9999.

This applies to most mono and stereo headsets and many other Bluetooth devices. Devices that have a changable pin code may differ.

If none of the code work for your device please see the user manual or contact the product manufacturer.

0000 does not work as a passcode to pair my H700 to my LG phone. I have also tried 1234 and every other combo. What is wrong

The default code is either 0000 or 00000. That is, four or five zeroes.
You can set a new pairing pass code once you connect it to your phone by changing the pairing code from under the connected devices settings in your bluetooth menu.

Code doesn't work!

space.gif I took this off Motorolas website. question.gif What's the pairing pin code and can I change it?
space.gif space.gif answer.gif The default pin code or passkey for Motorola Bluetooth accessories products is 0000 and cannot be changed.

Are you holding the button on the bluetooth till it turns purple. If not then it wont sync properly. After the Bluetooth turns purple then go to your phone and have the phone look for devices. Check this wbsite for pairing instructions
