Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I have an Alienware Aurora desktop that needed a technician to come out and repair. The left side panel was left off after this was done. I have been unable to re-attach the side panel to the case ever since that time. I have tried everything from trying to line it up front to back, bottom to top, sliding it, etc. It always seems to get stuck in the upper left corner where the liquid cooling assembly sticks out a bit, but this should not be interfering with getting the side panel back on. The LED lighting on the left side will not work with the side panel off, because there is a contact board that makes contact with a small plastic piece on the side panel that has metal wires in it. Any advice on how I can get the side panel back on would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I highly recommended calling back Alienware support technicians have them come back and assemble it back together themselves.
You could be having issues reconnecting it do to damage to the case. People make mistakes and him/her not replacing it back like it was could of been more then just forgetting to put it back. Plus, to avoid any cost or damage to your cooling station or your computer. They messed up their responsible, and should fix it free of charge.

Could be a number of things but I would lean toward the processor or the power supply. Do you have another power supply laying around you know is good? if so you can switch them out to see if it's the power supply and the same thing would go for the processor. Since you probably don't have either just laying around your best bet would be will be to take it to a repair shop and let them test it for you.

Sounds like there's some corruption in the windows install. Did you purchase this computer new? if so I would call Dell cause it will surely be a warranty issue. If not you will need a Windows 7 install disc. If you have a disc put it in the disc drive and boot to it and do a repair on windows if this doesn't help you will need to completely reinstall windows 7. Hope this helps
