install the clipper blades onto the unit properly
read the user manual on how to do it
From your description it indicates that the blade base is on the tang but the clipper is not inline with the activator and will click in a bit more
The Andis T-Outliner that you purchase from the USA is not for UK voltage 220 50 HZ, the Voltage is too high, the only way to control the voltage is transformer from 220V to 120 V. The Andis Trimmer that may work for you is the GTX trimmer this trimmer was manufactured for Canada and there voltage is 220V 50HZ.

oil your blade after each use. on the side there is a blade adjustment setting. after you oil the blade turn your clipper on, turn the set screw out a few turns till the blade is free. Then turn back in till it makes a loud clacking noise. Then u will back out the set screw till the baldes stop clacking and keep oiled well.
The power screw is the correct way to adjust the problem you describe. If you have attempted to adjust it as instructed in the user manual and have not had satisfactory results, there may be a problem with the clippers. Most Wahl clippers have a 1 year or longer warranty. You can call Wahl for warranty service at 1-800-334-4627
First off all when buying a step down transformer for these clippers or any other electrical equitment make sure u read the label check cycle 50/60 ,and watt transformer need to be the same are close enough, with is hard to get on tha market, get it made custom,I'm a barber and we have a little trick open your andis clipper ,get spong cut it neatly just a bit thicker than the space between movin part and amateur (coil) insert spong between, not centre bit top bit to blade that's where knocking comin from it can cause that movin bit to break, trim spong until u get it quit but able to cut ,note blade will get hot because of wrong transformer and can damage coil
Look on the side of the clipper handle. You ahould see what appears to be a screw. With your clipper plugged in and turned on, turn that screw with a screw driver in either direction, the noise you are talking about should quiet down quite a bit,
There is a "power screw" located on the side of the clipper opposite the switch. This may need adjusting. Take a screw driver or coin....and with the unit running......turn the screw back and forth until the clipper stops making noise. The proper position for the most power is to turn the screw intil it makes a loud noise, then turn it back just enough to get rid of it.
Turn the clipper on and with a screwdriver turn the screw on the side counter clockwise until it is extremely loud. Next slowly turn the screw the opposite direction until the noise quiets down to a low buzz. If this does not work for you there may be an internal adjustment that is necessary.
