Hi there,

Well first of all you can please follow the below steps -
1. Spread paper towels, several layers of newspaper or an old towel you don't mind getting ruined over your work surface, and put on old clothes you don't mind getting ruined by spilled ink.
2. Locate the refill plug on the printer cartridge, usually this is a tiny round plug set into the top or along the top edge of the printer cartridge. Pierce the refill plug with an eyelet screw, then back the screw out to remove the plug, or use a thumb drill of no greater than 1/16 inch in diameter.
3. Determine which color ink goes in which chamber, if you're dealing with a multicolor cartridge, by inserting a toothpick into each chamber and then examining which color ink is on the toothpick when removed.
4. Inject up to 20 mL of ink for a single-color cartridge, or 10 mL of ink per chamber of a multicolor cartridge, into the cartridge as slowly as possible. Exactly how much ink goes into the cartridge will depend on whether the cartridge was completely empty or not before refilling.
5. Plug the refill hole again if possible with the plug; if the plug is lost or too damaged to use, you can either leave the hole open or cover it with a piece of tape.
6. Set the cartridge on several layers of paper towel or newspaper for an hour or two if you're concerned about drips; some dripping is inevitable during the refill process--if the cartridge doesn't drip at all, you probably didn't get it properly saturated with ink.
Please post comments if you need more help or information.........

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Syringes for each color and the ink of course - be very careful here, it must be the correct one.

A Kit would have both ink and syringes but it would cost you a lot more than if you would have obtained all of the above separately. If you get them separately buy a syringe for each color, clean it with distilled water and dry it thoroughly in between uses, and don't mix them - label them clearly.

Any 15 cc disposable plastic syringe will do. BTW you will have to buy some thin needles, the ones that come with the syringe are usually too thick.

    Hello,

Available materials to carry out the task are OK. And if you fill you still need any additional, you could go ahead.

    Take care

Regarding your Pixma MP830 printer inquiry (Canon PGI-5 / CLI-8 ink cartridges) and A200 error message, most likely the built-in PRINTHEAD is reaching it's end-of-life and may need to be replaced with a new one. Typically, the average printhead only produces ~4000 to 5000 pages before it electrically fails.
For information on PRINTHEAD failures, please refer to our support page: http://inkjet411.com/?page_id=2934

However, let's run thru the full checklist to screen out additional variables:

Canon A200 Error, Troubleshooting:

Replace ink cartridges if they are empty:
At the risk of stating the obvious (frequently not so obvious in the heat of the moment), find out if the ink cartridges are empty. When in doubt, try a new Canon original ink cartridge to see if this corrects the error.

A data cable of print head is open:
Did you just replace an ink cartridge? Perhaps you shifted a data cable to the print head.

Replace PRINTHEAD if it is damaged. Refer to Canon.com for replacement part.

Turn off the printer for some time

In other troubleshooting tips we have advised any inkjet printer not seeing regular usage to run a test print page. If you are making heavy usage of a Canon inkjet printer, consider giving it a break. This will avoid saturating the printhead with heat, prolonging useful service life.

Update the printer driver:

If you have followed all this with no success, from the printer menu (not computer) push the buttons to get a demo or test page. If everything is ok when you do this, however you get the service error code A200 when you try to produce something productive, odds are good, the print driver the computer is using has gone south (corrupt). When printing on a network, a corrupt printer driver can spread like an unwanted virus. Depending on the network, a driver that has gone rogue may be seen as an updated driver, which network will 'helpfully spread' as an update.

CAUTION: Be advised, the use of compatible/clone cartridges (i.e. sold thru the internet from China) are known to be problematic and may cause printer errors and/or permanent PRINTHEAD failures. We do NOT suggest refilling these types of ink cartridges.....refilling of original/genuine ink cartridges is only suggested!

-----------------

However, if your printer works routinely after inserting a brand new Canon OEM (original) PGI-5 and CLI-8 ink cartridge(s) in it, this will confirm the cause of failure.

Reset ink level on canon mg2120 after ink refill

The following procedures may be used to reset the Canon printer ink level monitoring following the installation of a refilled Canon 30, 31, 40, 41, 50, 51, 210, 211, 240, or 241 integrated ink cartridges. In most cases, the error/alert will need to be cleared to enable printing. Ink waste container reset procedures are also provided below.
NOTE: for multi-cartridge installation, the procedure(s) may need to be repeated twice.

For PGI-5, PGI-9PBK, CLI-8, PGI-220 CLI-221 PGI-225 CLI-226 PGI-250 CLI-251 Cartridges: These are new Canon cartridges which have an embedded chip on each cartridge. If you just refill the ink, the printer will still reads the cartridge as empty. You have two choices:

Purchase a "refillable cartridge" from www.asapinkjets.com
BCH or other sellers. These refillable cartridges have an auto-reset chip (non OEM) and will reset automatically.
Use a chip resetter (e.g., search Canon + model number + resetter on eBay). Follow the instruction below to refill your original cartridge, and use the resetter to reset the chip.

My canon ip3500 needs to be reset.. How?

There are 2 ways to do that, the first is to reset it manually, the 2nd is to reset it using a resetter chip.

To reset it manually
1. Press and Hold the STOP/RESET button and wait until it self restart.
2. Release the STOP/RESET button then the printer is restarting.

To reset it using a resetter chip
go on this link to view the product and purchase it

Canon pixma ip4600 black ink problem

The PGI-220 is the larger ink tank and is filled with standard black ink. The PGI-221 black cartridge is the photo black. There is no way to force the printer to use the photo black cartridge (skinny one) to print documents. The photo black cartridge is only used if you print a photo. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling shop and I can't refill these cartridges yet. There is no way to reset the ink level chip without a resetter and any replacement chips you find on the internet are technically violating patent law.
