The Epson R360 requires an AdjProg utility or the WICreset (iWIC if you're on a mac) tool to reset the waste counter.

The SSC and IPR utilities do not reset this printer and unfortunately the IPR utilities from Epson do not complete a full waste counter reset either with only a proportion of the counters capacity being released.

The R360 AdjProg is generally available all over the net so worth digging around although worth noting that some versions do not work properly.

Hello the team of experts i have an Epson picturemate 500 printer which shows the pad which absorb ink during head cleaning is being saturated replace the genuine Epson cartridge t557 . after disassembling...

The waste ink pad is inside the T557 cartridge. It is mounted under the top cover and is seriously difficult to clean out. You have to carefully split the cartridge along the seams (it is held together with internal clips) and then flush the waste ink pad and then get it dry. Having done that there is no guarantee that the machine will change the message as it is the result of an internal electronic count. It is possible to reset the chip on the cartridge which resets the page count with a chip-setter often available with refill kits.

Never had one of this series, but I have went through about 25 Epson printers and the message you refer to means your waste ink pad needs to be cleaned or replaced.
To get rid of the message do a search on "how to reset waste ink pad counter for Epson l200" and you will find a utility that does what you want.

The printer's ink pads are at the end of their service life. Please contact Epson support.

As the error says the waste ink pads are at a point where Epson have estimated they need to be changed... However you do have a couple of options.

1. You can take it to a service centre and get them to reset the waste counter and change the pads (check that they will/have actually done this though as many just reset and leave the pads to overflow!).

2. Reset the waste counter and change the pads yourself (if the printer has replaceable pads - as many of the newest printers do) or fit an external waste ink tank like a Printer Potty.

Can't be any more specific than that though as you've not indicated which printer model you have.

this link will take you to a download page for a utility that will allow you to reset the waste ink counter and so forth. Keep in mind that if you ignore this warning and continue printing your printer might start leaking ink and other weird behaviour. Ater installation, you'll see the icon in the tray beside the system clock. Right click on the icon then go to reset counters->Reset All counters. That should do the trick. Hope this helps, Regards Armando
