This is a basic description of the problem:
I have configured a Polycom Viewstation (Video Conferencing Unit) as an H.323 gateway on Cisco Unified Communications Manager v7.1.3.30000-1. I have a PC that has a Video Advantage camera and the software installed. When I make a call from the IP phone (7965) to the VC unit the call connects, but I cannot hear any audio, or get any video. The call then disconnects after exactly 10 seconds. I get the same outcome when dialling from the VC unit to my phone.
I have tried configuring the H.323 gateway so that it uses a MTP, but I get the same issue. I have the phone configured to use G.711 as a voice codec, the Video Advantage supports use of H.263 and H.264 as Video codecs, the viewstation supports H.263, so compatability should not be an issue. I have run some H.323 traces, but i couldn't see anything obvious within them i.e. errors; they probably need someone with a bit more expertise on H.323 to look at them.If you need any further information, please let me know.
thanks
Dimitri

Are you able to move the camera using the remote?
If not, then you may have a hardware issue.
If yes, then try to connect to the Viewstation (web interface) using its IP from a Computer.
Let me know what happens

Is the Indian site within the firewall? If so, I would focus on the firewall. Does the US site have a firewall? They may be blocking outbound traffic. If you are connecting but no video, it sounds like UDP traffic is still being blocked somewhere. If you can, you may want to assign public IPs on the units and test outside of the firewall.
Hope this helps..

Um; just a thought but if it's software is Win98 and if your system is running XP SP2 or Vista I'd say you really do need a Guru. A simple answer like running in 98 mode under XP/Vista may not work.
As far as the manual goes, "Google" will generally get you what you want. I did and got www.labx.com as a starting point for your manual. many other lisings for it..
