http://www.unlockbiosrecovery.com/Unlock_ASUS_Bios.php can calculate a bios master password for your ASUS notebook for $20 and they guarantee it to work. The bios master password will clear the currently set bios password, giving you full access to bios setup. I repair laptops and I use them when I get a laptop with an unknown bios password or unknown hard drive password and they have always worked for me.
It is bios password. Now if you forgot it then you have reset your bios settings. For that you have to open back cover of laptop. Then find motherbord pull CMOS cell from motherbord for 10 minutes then put again to it's position. Then it not ask for password. Let me know if you need more assistance. Thanks.
here are 2 password type first 1 is bios password if tell me about your bios password it prompt when u powerup follow procedure below
For that you need to reset factory defaults settings for bios. For reset bios u have to open back side of your laptop then u find motherbord circuit there. pull cmos cell on motherbord for 15 minute then it reset to defaults. Also u can reset with jumper settigns read carefully on mother bord there is 1 jumper near cmos cell u read there " bios reset or clear" It is on 1-2 position right now set it in 2-3 position then power up then all bios settings are reset. then again set it in 1-2 its original position. Then it not want password.
And if u tell about windows password Then when you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode then wait until it prompt for user password
then enter in administrator then if u able to enter then reset your password. But if u set and forgot default administrator password then u should need winxp recovery disk.
On the mainboard near the coin battery you'll find a jumper. take it off and reboot. Replace it and reboot again. that works sometimes. If not you can go to the motherboards' BIOS like Phoenix and they have backdoors built in. Read on: Backdoor passwords
Many BIOS manufacturers have provided backdoor passwords that can be
used to access the BIOS setup in the event you have lost your password.
These passwords are case sensitive, so you may wish to try a variety of
combinations. Keep in mind that the key associated to "_" in the US
keyboard corresponds to "?" in some European keyboards. Laptops
typically have better BIOS security than desktop systems, and we are
not aware of any backdoor passwords that will work with name brand
WARNING: Some BIOS
configurations will lock you out of the system completely if you type
in an incorrect password more than 3 times. Read your manufacturers
documentation for the BIOS setting before you begin typing in passwords
