One side of my 53''sony looks like its in 3d,what could be the problem?

Convergence it dead.Know how solders?Must replaced 2 convergence ICS and all it.Buy a convergence kit at Tv repair World.com,Tvrepairkits.com repair it ur self.The shop will cost u $300 for labors and parts.

Sony tv picture is distorted


If your TV looks 3D, warped, or distorted it likely has a convergenge problem.
If however it just looks dull, washed out, redish, greenish, or blueish or if it looks like objects on the screen have halos the fluid in the lens has soured.
You can search google for parts or you can get the parts with repair instructions from sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com

Adjust convergence. If not adjustable replace convergence ics or D board depending on skill level

the convergence IC`s and associated resistors have to be replaced, do not repeatedly push magic focus or the alignment after the parts change out will take longer which of course means higher repair bill, good luck

hi, You most probaly have a problem with your convergence, goe into menu locate convegence try and adjust and see if there will be any changes, if not i sugest it be done by a profesional. zazwpx
