Download and install the sound card device driver from the company website. That might work.

How do i turn my sound up

The Windows operating system on your Toshiba laptop contains a functionality that allows you to increase the volume.

Your laptop's volume is a measure of the decibel levels of sound that your Toshiba laptop will put out.

If you are having trouble hearing music of video files, you may need to boost the sound volume, which can be accomplished by following several steps.

Press the "Start" button on your desktop.

Click on the "Control Panel" icon then double-click on the icon labeled "Sounds and Audio Devices."

Click on the "Volume" tab then move the device volume slider to increase the volume.

Close the "Control Panel" when you have completed the operation, and your volume should be louder.

Hope this helps.

Can't hear ringer

I had this same problem with my Blackberry. You should check the settings on your sound and volume for incoming calls and make sure you have a tone set. You can also find a way to amplify your ringtone by hooking it up to your computer. If you dont' hear anything at all, then check the buttons on the side and see if that increases the volume. Sound is noy hear

check to see that the sound is not muted, see the little speaker icon in the system tray on the lower left hand side of your windows desktop on the task bar. try to increase the volume.

if not go to control panel, sounds and audio devices, there on the volume tab, if it grayed out then you need to reinstall the sound drivers , if not just increase the volume.

NO Sound when I use my headphone

There are independant controls for headphones as well as speakers. Some models have 3 ports on them, 1 for speakers, 1 for headsets and 1 for microphone aside from the cheesy one that comes with the system. There should be a sound effects manager as well as a sound and audio device option. Try the audio device option. And look around the system, there should be a control to turn up the volume!
