How do I fix a 'storing 4' (error 4 in Dutch) myself on my Jura Impressa s9 machine (7 years old)? Is there a clever way of taking the back panel off to access the internals without breaking anything ?

Error 4 is the ntc sensor on the top thermoblock
change it and the machine will be fine
to check just measure the resistance of the sensor , it should be 12Kohms with room temperature.... the warmer it gets the less resistance
a other quick way to check it is changing it with a resistor of around 330 ohms
the machine will work properly only it thinks the temperature is good while it may not be warm enough yet

to reset the error press the 2 middle buttons for a few seconds while in standby mode

Hi, had the same issue and it seems to be that the most common reason is the temperature sensr (omega sensor) on top of the Thermoblock. I have a technical background and could easily resolve the problem within the X7. Remove backplane and slide away and remove the side cover where normally the water tank is.
on the left bottom you see the Thermoblock and on top a small round ThermoSensor (called omegasensor). Replaced this sensor and it all worked fine again, In case it still does not work, have also a look to the other thermoblock on the right bottom. There is the sensor of the T-Block. little bit more difficult to reach, but as long you do not lose your screw then it is do-able. If you hesitate then of course let a specialist do it for you. When it are only the Thermo sensors then the cost is low and not difficult to repair for the specialist.

The Jura has an on board computer that needs to be accessed by a Jura authorized service center, like some cars the service computer resets that error at a service, where it produces a diagnostic. Even as a Jura dealer they will not give me access to the protocol, so the answer at the moment is know, unless you would like to try and figure out the protocol

Jura Impressa S9 Steamer trips circuit breaker

Hi
There`s probably an leakage from the steamblock, and the water flows over the contacts. This will short circuit the machine. Contact your dealer or nearest servicepartner and they will fix it with a new water connector.
