If the SonicWALL's admin password is lost, there is no backdoor or other mechanism to bypass the administrator login. Please note that prefs files do not contain the admin name and password. So if you reset the firmware and import a current prefs file, you can gain access using the default login credentials ('admin' & 'password'). Without a current prefs file, you must reset the firmware and configure from scratch.

For models running SonicOS (Enhanced or Standard), you can reboot to factory defaults. This resets all settings including the admin name, password and LAN IP address. Import the current prefs file. The configuration is restored and use the defaults 'admin' and 'password' to login.

For models running Firmware 6.X, you must reset the firmware (wipe and upload using the reset procedure). Import the current prefs file. The configuration is restored and use the defaults 'admin' and 'password' to login. The 'Reset to Factory Defaults' button does not reset the admin name, password or LAN IP address for these models

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Login details

There is no way to retrieve the lost password unless you wish to use a bruteforce method to attempt all passwords in a password list.
This process can take a very long time and may not show any usable results.
It is faster and easier to reset the device to factory defaults and re-configure it with a password you can remember, then performing the above mentioned procedure.

I am forget the my sonicwall administrator password. how to login

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
You can't login, all you can do is to reset the SonicWall. There is a small pinhole on the front panel, hold it for some time... that will boot it in a safe mode to reset it.
I hope you have a clear picture now.
Concerned, Nooh.

How to reset mobotix camera without admin password

If you lose your MOBOTIX admin password, it needs to be sent back to the MOBOTIX factory for a reset. This is kind of like an insurance policy, to protect your MOBOTIX investment.
In this YouTube video tutorial we explain why the MOBOTIX admin password reset policy is in place and what you need to do if you lose/forget the MOBOTIX camera admin password.ord.">

I am a admin at a new company and they do not know nor can they find the Admin login and password. Is there a way to hack in to the SonicWALL PRO 230 Firewall unit?

Deafault user: admin

if in case you cannot get in, you need to reset the device to its factory default.

Password recovery

Try restarting your router. There should be a button on the back of the router that you can press with a paper clip or something. After that your password should change to something like:

username: admin
password: admin

or

username: admin
password: password

Sonicwall client won't connect to the internet

The default VPN policy rules prevent LAN access, also known as split-tunneling, since this creates a security risk (the ability of the VPN session to be hijacked or compromised through a covert channel).

If you are not the system admin, you need to talk to your system admin. If you are the system admin, then you need to review the documentation with respect to

My ISP changed the ip address at work where do I change this ip address in the Sonicwall"

Depends which Sonicwall. Do a search on the Internet for the model number and get the user manual. Normally it's a web address in the range 192.168.x.x (i.e. 192.168.0.1)

The standard user name and password for Sonicwall devices should be - admin and password, unless it has been changed of course :)
