SOURCE: How do you raise to a power on a Sharp el-738 business calculato?

I don't know about this specific calculator, but there is probably a button on your calculator that has a "y" with an "x" as a superscript (exponent). Or is could be reversed. But you wanted 2^8, you would push the 2 first, then the exponent button, then the 8, and there's your answer.

Good luck.

(1/10)^2=0.01

To calculate the inverse just invert the fraction 1/10 becomes 10 and you calculate 10^2=100 =1/0.01.

On the Sharps, look for a key marked 1/x or x^-1. If the marking is on the key you just press it while the number whose reciprocal you want is displayed. If the marking is on the face of the calculator you will have to press 2nd F before the key.
