I can't connect to internet.

I can't connect to the internet by a wired modem. I get message that internet explorer can't display this page.I am posting on another computer.

Internet Explore Cannot Display the Webpage
As you browse the Web with Internet Explorer, you may occasionally encounter an error message about the browser being unable to display the requested Web page.
If your browser is unable to display a page, the issue lies somewhere along the path from your computer to the remote website. In some cases, you can resolve the issue by troubleshooting your computer or Internet connection. Internet Connection Issue

I cant access facebook, INTERNET displays that 'web page cannot be displayed'


There are many reasons that Internet Explorer could be encountering this issue. Some examples are connectivity to your ISP, a firewall blocking your connection, or your networking device not functioning properly. Here are some things that you can try:
Method 1: Run the Network Diagnostics tool in Internet Explorer
1. Start Internet Explorer, and then try to access the Web page that is displaying the error message.
2. On the page that displays an Internet Explorer error message, click the Diagnose Connection Problems link. The Network Diagnostics tool will run. When the tool has finished running, it will report one of the following results:
    • It was unable to find a problem.
    • It has detected a problem. Additionally, the tool will provide guidance about the next steps to take to troubleshoot the problem.
3. Click IP Address, and note the IP Address. You may need it for future troubleshooting.
4. Follow the steps in the Network Diagnostics tool to fix any connection problems.
5. Start Internet Explorer.
If you receive the same error message, go to the next method.
Method 2: Reset the modem or the router
1. Disconnect the cable that connects the computer to the modem.
2. Turn off the modem and the router.
Note: If the modem or the router does not have a power switch, disconnect the power to the modem or to the router.
3. Restart the computer.
4. After your computer has restarted, turn on the modem or the router, connect the cable from the computer to the modem or the router, and restart the computer.

Cannot connect to internet explorer. replies PPPo. concentracter not here. net book does not connect to internet. worked at christmas now it says page cannot be displayed. model# synet7wid


PPPo is generally a setting on DSL modems, not on a computer. Can you verify that your modem is working correctly? Is any other computer in your house able to connect to the internet? If you ISP (internet service provider) modem has lost it's settings, your internet connection would not be available, thus the message your are getting on your netbook.

Please let me know if your internet connection is available for other computers and what kind of internet service you have.

Go to the laptop. Open Internet Explorer. In the address bar type
192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

Do you see the new Router or the old one. This is where you set up the connectivity and password. Disconnect your X-Box when setting up the Laptop.

Well sir make sure of one thing that you should be connected to the network you have created for your wireless.
If you are using windows right-click on the two small computer icon located in the system tray at extreme right-hand side corner of your computer screen and then left cilck on view available networks and select the network you are using enter the password(if any) and click connect.
The message will apppear you are now connected to the network.
Open Internet Explorer page and you will be navigated to your home page automatically.

My inspiron 6000 will connect to my wireless


Several resoning behind this one. One check your firewall setting, and make sure your wireless card have permission. Two, make sure that your mac filtering is turn off. Your wirless network has it own mac address and it is not in the router as to be aloud, it will block it. Three if your wireless network has a password, make sure you enter in right, it is case sensative. Four make certain that you have your wireless device is connected to the modem, or modem wireless combine. Finally, if you were running wired, try to clean the temperary ineternet filess off.

Page Cannot Be Displayed


Your internet is NOT connected properly.
Go to your "control Panel" and click on "network connections" to connect to the internet connections available. Make sure your modem is turned on and all the wires plugged in as well.

First thing i would try is power cycling your equipment. Unplug the router and the Modem-
Plug the modem in first and once all the lights come on- plug in your router- then restart your computer.

4200 speedstream modem problem


I guess you probably aint set-up a wireless router before, what you need to do is get it connected up so you revieve local area is connected then, load internet explorer you will recieve a message like page not displayed. where you usually type in www.ebay.com for example type in the number thats on the bottom of the router ie it looks somthing like this 192.168.1.1 for example. a menu will then appear, fill in your broadband username details etc and you should be up and going, if you have problems feel free to email me,, All the best John Auctionscotland@tiscali.co.uk
