I have three different cables, and the hdmi input just doesn't work any more. I've had to convert all my wiring to component... any idea how to fix this without sending the entire tv in for repair?

I changed my cabe to brand new gold plated top of the line cable and it still doesn't work. I have used a DVI/HDMI cable adapter to use the TV as a monitor for a PC in a conf room. This worked fine for a little over a yr and then one day it no longer works at all.

HDMI worked fine for nearly 2 years then without any signs of pre-imminent failure it quit. I tried different devices with different cables. I tried to perform a hard reset with Infocus tech support but I am not so sure the hard reset actually happened since my previous settings were still resident.

    Any suggestions?

I've had that problem before and it turned out that, although it looked absolutely fine, it was my HDMI cable which was not working. After getting a high quality cable, the problem went away.

Tv turns on it says no signal and when hooked to dvd player no pic? cable is good and dvd player all works on a didffrent tv.

try different type inputs on your TV-
HDMI, component, composite

then look in the menu of your DVD player- with no disc in it- find "setup menu"
then find "video output format"- select the one you are using on the TV, the options will be
HDMI, YpBpr (component) , video out (composite)

Dlp 61md10 Has a black screen i have sound but no picture

The same thing just happened to me today. I finally disconnected the power cord from my 61md10 for a few minutes, then plugged it back in and turned it on. Not sure how this fixed it, but when I changed the input back to HDMI, the black screen was gone and I was getting a hi def picture again.

sounds like the color wheel isnt spinning at the right index speed, most likely due to bad bearings in the color wheel.

My Samsung LN40A530 only produces a blank blue screen whenever I try to use an HDMI input source. Audio seem to come through fine but not the video. Other, non-HDMI video inputs work fine. I've tried...

We are having the same problem. We have 2 DVD players with up-converter to 1080i and 1080p. Both DVD work fine (one Sony and one Samsung) with our Samsung LN-T4053H upstairs, never intermittent.

LN40A530 downstairs is having "Searching for Signal" problem. Took it back to Sears got a new one, problem followed. Something is wrong with this LN40A530. Perhaps firmware update is needed.

Hi guys, don't know if the previous post got through. Have a new LCD tv and DVDr, connected with a HDMI cable. when DVDr switched off analogue and digital picture is fine. as soon as dvd is switched on...

yes, hdmi will give you better results..
are you running hdmi to hdmi connection on tv from cable box?
if so, that is correct but as for the dvdr, what tv port are you connecting it to? i would use another hdmi cable for the dvd too for best picture resultif it's an option on your dvd.. you should have multiple input outlets on your lcd with 1-3 options for input devices via analog or hdmi.. so analog is not hdmi--hdmi is digital so it switches to the hdmi resolution when you turn it on..

let me know how it goes and if i was helpful involving resolution.. helpful feedback is appreciated.. thanks, d

your dvd player should be set to a different

Hdmi Issue

Most new HDMI DVD players use High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP)on the HDMI output. If you try to play this on an older TV that is not compliant with these new standards it will not work. This standard came out late in 2004 that is why your older player still works. There is also a service bulletin from JVC about upgrading the software on your TV for HDMI compatiblity issues. If you want a pdf file of the bulletin I can send it to you.

HDMI Signal gone

The HDMI interface may have suffered a malfunction, this offten happens due to stray voltages on the ground plane. If you do not have electronics experience I would suggest taking the set to the shop and having it repaired
