I did that but the safe mode continues reset itself, itmaybe fine for 10 minutes it maybe fine for an hour but it always comes back. When I use the remote it alternates between on and off.For example when I press any key on the remote it sets itself to safe mode when a press the remote again any key the safe mode is off.It works better manually then when i use the remote. The remote is essential but the remote won't operate the unit at all,it just turns the safe mode on and off.

Hi,

On Most Models, by Holding the Power Button for 8-10 Sec would Fix this. One of the User's also describe that if there is a Button states ' Child Lock ' on that. Press it for few Seconds and the unit would be out of the Safe Mode.

If Problem remains, let me know so that i could search more for this Model.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

SAFE

SAFE is the same as PROTECT in other models. It means that an incorrect voltage has been detected, and the unit has been forced to safe mode (forced standby) to prevent further damage to internal component.

Safe mode can be triggered by a bad connector as well as by a blown component inside the player. Check all cables connected to the unit and disconnect power cord for about ten minutes. If that does not work, then the player must be repaired by a technician or replaced.

Combos are getting more and more expensive and difficult to find. This kind of unit is usually worth repairing.

Try first the general troubleshooting steps suggested above. Here a link resuming the basic procedure (protect and safe mode are the same): Unit in protect mode.

Regards.

Ginko.

How do i turn off safe mode

Most computers when you boot it up give the option of "Boot Menu" upon the first few seconds of powering the machine on. Look at the screen and see if it reads Press F1 or F2 for Boot Menu. From there you can toggle off the safe mode option. Sometimes it's the delete key or alt key for some other computer providers as well.

Hope this helps,

Marty

How do i remove the remote from safe mode?

Safe Mode is a diagnostic tool in the Remote used for troubleshooting purposes. If the words "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode Requested" appear on the remote, complete the following steps:

1. Ensure the Remote is in "Safe Mode Requested" by taking out the batteries, and disconnecting the remote from the USB cable.
2. Hold down the Off button and plug the remote into the USB.
3. Continue holding down the Off button for another 10 seconds. The remote should then display the words "Safe Mode Requested".
4. With the unit in "Safe Mode Requested", re-install the firmware by clicking Support on your home page.
5. Click Firmware in the Downloads section and follow the online instructions to upgrade the firmware.
6. Once the firmware upgrade is complete, click Update My Remote.
7. Insert new batteries into the remote.

My car audio has gone into safe mode need codes to unlock it. vauxhall corsa sxi

Hi.

There is no code to unlock safe mode. Safe mode means that a fault has been detected and the unit goes in this mode (kind of forced stand by) to prevent further damage.

Disconnect battery ground cable and check the wiring at the back of the unit, a contact in the connectors or a short on wiring is common cause for safe mode.

When you disconnect the battery ensure that you have the anti theft code if needed. Anti-theft is different from safe mode. In that case you get Code on display, not Safe or the triangle sign.

Regards.

Ginko.
